Thinking about booking Concierge September

Let's just say the last month has been an extremely rough one and I'm looking to book a getaway in September for just DH and I for some much needed down time. I'm looking at the September 18th 4-night cruise, would like to splurge and book concierge first time ever!

Just wondering if anyone who is on the cruise can tell me if the cabanas on Serenity Bay or the family beach are all sold out already since we are only 100 days away and concierge has had the ability to book for 120.

Thanks!

That sounds like a nice, well deserved getaway! May try posting this question on the cruise meet up page as well.

If you are in concierge, don't bother with the waiting list at guest services. Just go to the lounge as soon as you are in board and let them know you would like a canabana and they will add you to their list. They control the cabanas and if you are a concierge guest, you will have priority over the waiting list in guest services.

Good luck.

And conventional wisdom is that they hold back at least one on each beach for concierge guests who decide they want them once on board.

Either book with Costco or Book with DCL and transfer right away to Costco.

You get a Costco cash card worth 8.5% of your cruise cost. In Concierge, it really adds up.

Our next cruise we get a cash card worth $1045.

Best deal out there.

Email the shoreside concierge as soon as you book. If you need the email address, let me know and I will look it up.

Use a TA that give OBC, like Dreams Unlimited.
Definitely contact Shoreside Concierge as soon as possible. Ask them for a Cabana and anything else you might want....such as excursions, Soda that's not a Coke product (like Dr Pepper or Pepsi).

I booked a concierge for DH and me last December. We loved it. DH only wants to cruise concierge now. ;)

DU are nice people, but they only give a fraction of the incentive compared to Costco. This is especially true in the case of a concierge room. They cost so much, and getting back over $1000 compared to a few hundred is definitely worth it.

We made the same mistake many years ago. We sailed in a suite, and cant do any cabin but a concierge one now!

We don't all have Costco. I never heard of it until it was mentioned here on the DisBoards.

Well, if you are not in the USA or not anywhere near a Costco, there is always Costco.com.

Don't give up on that Cabana! The dates to which you are referring are not very busy dates and there may be cabanas still available if you are concierge. We had a cruise booked for October of this year and were in a 4A on the Fantasy. However, we just switched our kids school last week, and they take their fall break the last week of September, so we switched the cruise to that week and there were concierge rooms available, so we bumped up to a concierge level room. I immediately contacted shoreside and there were cabanas available and got one booked. I haven't done the math yet on your dates yet, but if the Gold levels haven't begun booking yet, there may still be cabanas available.

Thanks for all the replies! Just have to see if my husband's schedule will work out and see what happens!

The Gold booking window opened a few days ago so I'd say the odds are very slim that one is available.

Don't worry about it. There are many of us who HAVE heard of it and don't use them. And even among those who do, most do not shill for them.
