Coming in 🔥HOT🔥 with a pre-trip report I may or may not finish. Remember...it's not the finished report but the friends we made along the way that matter.
I will come back and add pictures but considering how long it took me to figure out how to insert girly pop on her power wheels, that may take a hot minute. This will act as my vision board for our planned Christmas trip in 2025.
Why so far away? I'm glad you asked!
In January 2025, I will be taking a solo+1 trip "home" to drop off my youngest kidult to the DCP program. Middle child will be in her last semester of college and didn't feel it would be good to miss school in that final push.

I'm unstoppable now that I figured this out.
In May we are taking a quick trip when DCP child comes home for her sister's graduation, we will all go back, DCP goes back to work and middle child/me will go to Epcot and Galaxy's Edge to take some graduation like pictures. That is going to be off-site, at my favorite Flamingo Crossing hotel...not much to plan, so no trip report.

NOW ON TO THE GOOD STUFF!!

This trip was born when middle DD came into my office and saw my background on my work computer was Main Street at Christmas. It sparked a conversation of how we have been to almost every Disney festival EXCEPT the holidays. We talked about how fun it would be to go but not this year since everyone is so busy (we have family comig into town, getting youngest ready for DCP, middle finishing college), so we decided on next Christmas (2025).

On the one hand...IT'S SO FARRRRRR
But on the other hand, it gives more time to save and have the DELUXE experience! So here are the plans so far (subject to change).

When: December 7-14, 2025 (this may change dependent upon any promotions and the dates for Mickey's Christmas Party)
Where: WILDERNESS LODGE!!! (our usual "home" is AKL but we wanted to try something different within the Deluxe category)
Who: Middle dd (23), youngest dd (21), and ME (I'm not putting my age)

Things we know we want to do:
Mickey's Christmas Party
Galaxy's Edge
Mickey & Minny ride
Harvest Buffet (a family tradition)
Resort tour of holiday decorations
ALL THE SHOWS (we are a theatre family, I work in wardrobe, youngest is a theatre design major and budding Imagineer)

I'll be back to add more to these plans as we get closer and I can't wait until Disney opens up dates so I can get it BOOKED!!

Sounds like you have a lot to look forward to! Waiting for booking to open up is always one of the hardest parts about planning :rolleyes1

Following along . Looking forward to reading more .

My girls are young adults too. I always dreamed of them doing the DCP but noooooooo, poor momma 😥. I’m planning a December 2025 trip with my 22 year old and planning is my favorite. Looking forward to your zippy, “giffy “ trip report!

Updates!!
We are still waiting on December dates to drop for the big Christmas trip. This trip is becoming a bigger deal than I initially thought. This week middle DD announced that she is going back to South Korea after she graduates to teach English for a year with a program called EPIK. This means this trip will be our last with her for awhile.

In order to make this the best year ever, we decided to change our plans for June. Instead of staying at an off-site, I just booked us at....drum roll....🥁

POP CENTURY!!

This is a resort she has always wanted to stay at (next to Poly...and I don't have Poly money). It also came out CHEAPER to stay on property with a package with the summer promo they have right now, than to book off-site, rent a car, pay parking, and get tickets through my work.
So that is where we are right now while we wait to book WDL for Christmas!

Dates opened! Just booked Nov 2025 😊 Best of luck and excited to follow along.

We are booked for pretty much the exact dates in December too! (We get in on the 6th and leave the 14th) We're staying at ASMo and it will be myself, husband, 5yo son and 2 yo daughter. I also did the DCP many moons ago in 2008. I'd love to do the Christmas party, but not sure if the kids can handle it yet.
