The Official DIS Golden Globes LIVE WATCH PARTY Thread!!! TONITE

No. I couldn't figure out what it was about from the trailer and decided not to spend my time on it even though it would have been "free" with my A*List since I'd already "paid" for my membership with movies I'd seen.
I thought it was a psychological thriller but my son told me it’s more horror

BTW, at last night's Golden Globes (non-televised) pre-awards ceremony, Ted Danson received the Carol Burnett Award, given to person who's made outstanding contributions to television on or off screen. It was presented by his wife, Mary Steenburgen.

Viola Davis received the Cecil B. DeMille Award, presented by Meryl Streep.

Has anyone here seen Conclave?

Yes. I really enjoyed it. As pointed out, it may be controversial. There were audible gasps in the theater when I saw it when the twist was revealed.

So happy for Emilia Pérez!!! It's sooooooo good!!

I literally haven't seen any of the nominated movies, I don't think. So I'm mostly interested in the t.v. categories. But I also love seeing all the outfits and whatnot.

I've seen Conclave, Dune Part Two, Challengers, Emilia Pérez, and Wicked. Emilia was my number one movie of 2024. (And I don't understand what was "musical or comedy" about Challengers. That was NOT a musical and it certainly wasn't funny!)

Animation-wise I've seen Inside Out 2, Moana 2, and The Wild Robot.

Foreign only Emilia Pérez.

I don't usually see any of nominated movies until after award season. The little snippets they show get my interest up.

This intro with Catherine O'Hara and Seth Rogan is really cringeworthy.
Honestly I've found most of them pretty bad. Jennifer Coolidge's was the worst for me - though to be fair I don't "get" her appeal to begin with.
