We would like to maybe find a nice painting or picture at this store. Does anyone have any good suggestions? it would be for a wall that is near our front entry way to our home.

Also, is there a link or website directly to this store?

I am also interested on info relating to a site? Showing what they have..

The Art of Disney store is one of my favorite stores to go into. I always have to go into one whether I am in a park or at DTD :goodvibes. To answer your question about what to suggest, well that is hard because I don't know your likes or dislikes. The Art of Disney has so many wonderful things in it from paintings, to sketch arts, to figurines. Last March my DH bought me the Thomas Kinkade painting of Snow White seeing the Seven Dwarf's cottage for the first time. Then also during that trip I bought a figurine of Mickey and Minnie sitting on a bench with Pluto laying behind them with a sad look on his face because Mickey and Minnie are hugging each other...it is called "Puppy Love". Then this past December we walked into the one in DTD and they had a table set up with a bunch of sketch artwork (with color) of different areas of Disney. I bought 4 sketches, each one of them has the icons for each of the parks and luckily while we were there the artist was also there signing his artwork, so of course I too got them signed. That is just a small sampling of what that store has to offer. I wish there was a website for all of us to go on so we can order something at home, unfortunately there is not.

We bought some great prints from this store last month. Among the selection is prints of various things in the parks and resorts. We bought one of Hollywood Studios showing the lane leading to the Sorcerer's hat (my DS was just finishing working there in the College Program, so this print will bring cherished memories to him for years to come).

We also bought one of the Germany pavilion in Epcot, one of the Haunted Mansion with the 3 hitch-hiking ghosts out front and another of the hitch-hiking ghosts riding in doom buggies inside the ride. We love them all. The artist happened to be in the shop and signed them, making them that much more special.

I guess something that would be basically mickey or some sort of something of Cinderalla castle, but one that is sorta neutral that isn't too much of a girly thing. If you know what i mean? lol

That sounds like Larry Dotson. We purchased his painting of the UK, and it sits perfectly in a prominent place in our house. He does some great work. We purchased before his prices have gone up so much, but still very reasonable. If you are at Disney duirng Flower & Garden, then he will probably be there exhibiting. It is an added extra to have the artist sign your print or painting. Happy shopping - and bring your wallet if you want the real paintings.

They have a ton of paintings (and photos, and sketches) in all different styles of scenes from Disney World and Disney films and Disney history.

Art of Disney, particularly the DTD one which I think is the best (Epcot's is the worst--I'd rank them DTD, Studios, MK, Epcot), is someplace I could drop some serious cash.

David Doss does a lot of Disney prints as well as some local to NC paintings. here is a link to his website for some of his art & then to his DTD show schedule. He was contacted by Disney to create a line for the Hilton Head Island and Vero Beach DVC resorts. I have several of his prints and love the rustic beach feel. His website says his prints are only available at Art of Disney when he is having a show but I know I have seen them there otherwise.

They don't have a site but if you google "Disney Fine Art" you'll find a number of galleries online that have a lot of the artists I've seen in the DTD store.

Although we didn't buy them at the DTD store, we have two artists work which we love. We have several Classic Pooh prints by Peter Ellenshaw (they're going up in our new twins room) and a two works by Allison Lefcourt.

I've always said if someone gave me a lot of money to spend at Disney, that would be the first store I went to (after buying a DVC resort and lots of non-expiring tickets!)

Here's a print I got from the Art of Disney store. I think you can get this from any of the locations. My wife wanted something Mickey, and I just wanted something artsy. I think this was a happy medium. I got it framed at Michael's, btw.

We really like Larry Dotson. You can become a fan on facebook. We currently have 6 prints at home (plus two more that only come out at Christmas time) and my husband has the Haunted Mansion one in his office at work. I LOVE them and they are all signed by him. They are the best "dated" souvenirs each time we go.

I have a David Doss print that I love. It's a drawing of pails on the beach with the images of all of the WDW theme parks on the pails. I bought this at DHS in the Disney Magic of Animation store.

I suggest going to the store to see the pieces for yourselves. There is a lot of cool stuff in various prices ranges and styles. I love to shop on-line, but some of those art pieces must be seen in person to really appreciate them. You might spend an hour or so shopping in the store, but you will enjoy it.:earsboy:
