Has anyone here tried the temporary tattoo paper for Inkjet printers? I have found some on line but haven't heard about quality etc...

I am planning to call the one company I found...(the other website offered nothing as to contact info etc...) and ask more questions but I thought I would start here first.

How good is the print quality?
How long will the tattoo last (if applied according to thier directions?)
Will it be waterproof/resistant?

If anyone here has any experiences to share I would appreciate it. I am posting this here because I was thinking that eventually this could be another way to use the wonderful designs here...and create custom ID's for kids while travelling...IF the paper is reliable and worth it. (I know there is a company that does the custom tattoos already - I am looking into that as well.

TIA!

Oh I'd love to know also- we LOVE temp tattoos!! That would be so awesome!

Excellent! Thanks...

I had emailed the company in Miami that I had found but was a little leary as I tried to call them first and couldn't get past the automated attendant. I would rather use a site that someone else has used...

Yay! They ship to Canada through USPS!!!!!!

It has been a while, and I received the paper a bit ago, but life gets in the way.

I took the time to make some smaller temporary tatoos using Disney Easter clip art. I just wanted to try it out. The printing was fine - remember to reverse the image for text! Once you have printed the images & made sure they had plenty of time to dry, you must put on the clear adhesive over it. DH did this part and we found that cutting out a size to go over each image was easiest. I had a test page of images for him to judge size. We had about a half page of adhesive left over too.

Applying the temporary tattoo was straight forward. Remove the clear cover on the adhesive, apply to skin and soak it down until the paper slides away.

DD wore a picture of her with Koda and Kenai from our last trip on her arm from Good Friday on. I cropped the photo to the size of a FastPass and the resolution was pretty good - the colour was great.

Removal. What goes on must come off right? Last night we thought it was about time to take it off. She had chosen to put it on her upper arm. If you can imagine removing a square of duct tape off your child's arm - that was about the size of it. Last night I soaked it in baby oil & worked up about a third of the top edge when she had taken enough of it. This morning, we soaked on more baby oil...but no movement. I put her in the tub & she kept it under water for close to 10 minutes but then I was able to peel it right off without hassle. Make sure you peel it under water though....

The directions said Baby oil would remove. Even though her arm isn't overly hairy...it was enough that baby oil wasn't enough to remove it.

Will I do this again? Probably. The adhesive for these is stronger than you may get in other temporary tattoos so I will be much more vigiliant in where she can have one, but I think I would be willing to try it again. I will soak on the baby oil before a good soak in warm water to peel it off.

As for my ID idea - I think this will work for us - if I put it on her inner lower arm. Not sure how this will work in a pool or water park though. I guess I will just wait and see.

I have never heard of this. Thanks for sharing.
I think I might try it,
DH has been wanting to purchase those temp tattoo's that are for if your child gets lost call 815-222-5555 like these pictured here

Maybe we will buy some of this paper and make our own. That way we could make any type of temp tattoos we want with the extra paper.

Thanks again for sharing

I have had a horrible time trying to get custom tattoos made. Most companies wanted 1000 minimum orders which is crazy I mean who needs 1000 tattoos. My wife makes all sorts of personalized gifts for our family an asked me "nicely" if I could get her some tattoos made. I ended up finding a company called strepik and they had the small minimum order for CUSTOM tattoo which was 20 i believe. For some reason it took a week but they were good quality.

Two other ideas- Road ID which is not only a good idea for kids, but for the whole family. Or, a sharpie marker.
