Te-assign ticket/1-day and $LL question

On a trip and BIL /SIL had to cancel last minute. To help them out, we are trying to figure out if we can use their tickets (and pay them for them obviously.)

They have 1-day Epcot tickets + $LL for GotG for Friday. We would like to reassign the ticket and use it on Tuesday, ideally at a DHS instead (but we can make Epcot work if that’s not an option.)

OR can we reassign the tickets and then use their $ value toward the 2-day tickets* DH and I already have, which would give us some flexibility.

We are headed over to the ticket office in DS tonight to get things straightened around (if possible) but I really like to know what is and isn’t possible before we walk over there.

*Our 2 day tickets are being used Friday and Monday and we cannot use them before Friday or we will lose the Monday schedule option because of the # of days you can use them. OR we change BIL/SIL’s ticket to Monday and use our 2-day tickets on Tuesday/Friday. Ugh. We already bought $LL for GotG on Monday for myself and DH, and I’d rather not lose those.

(Personally I would stay out of it, their tickets even after expired will not lose their value. In the future they can call Disney and apply the value to new tickets.)

As PP mentions, single-day tickets that go unused will retain their value towards a future ticket.

Can their tickets be reassigned to you? Probably. However there will be no refund if the new date/park costs less than the original Epcot plans.

If you already have your own 2-day tickets, their ticket cannot be combined with yours. It can be used in conjunction with yours but not combined to make a 3-day (or longer) ticket. Your 2-day ticket will still have the same expiration date.

As for LLMP/LLSP if already purchased... I think the terms of that are "non-refundable" but they can ask.
