Does anyone know if they have Sunny D and chocolate milk on the ship? We are traveling on the Magic but my son will want his Sunny D in the morning so if not, I need to bring a pack of them.Plus, he loves his chocolate milk but wondering if it's only the powder add in if they have it?

They have chocolate milk in little cartons. I don't think they have Sunny D.

Can't answer about Sunny D but they have chocolate milk. The buffet on the Wonder had single serving cartons. They brought glasses in the MDR and I'm not sure if it was premade or if the servers put choc syrup in plain milk.

Thanks for the info,,I didn't think they had Sunny D so will bring my own but really happy to hear the chocolate milk is in cartons.

You can take a few of the chocolate milk cartons to put in the fridge in your room so that you have it handy for him.
No sunny D

The chocolate milk is easy to get anywhere and I have ordered c. milk and OJ from room service, at a meal and the morning buffet always has 100% juices. Just tell your kids Mickey and his friends don't approve of Sunny D because it isn't very good for him so he won't serve it on his ship-you might break a bad habit onboard.:thumbsup2

I found it surprising that DCL touts it's free soda stations but nothing about healthy alternatives being available other than in restaurants. Coming up on our first family cruise and NOT looking forward to fighting the Soda War every time the kids need something to drink! Any thoughts from experienced cruisers?

Sunny D is apparently not a Coca-Cola product, which is all WDW serves.

When the buffet is open, milk and juices are available there.

What drinks are you looking to get for your family? They offer milk at the drink station and water is also available.

Regular milk is available, as is water.

I guess No will have to mean No when passing the soda stations unfortunately.

A difficult one, but fresh OJ would be too expensive to provide FOC 24/7 IMO.

Ex Techie :)

There is also usually lemonade and/or fruit punch on the drink station - not juice, but my soda-hating DD was happy to have something at the drink station she could have on occasion other than milk.

I try not to drink soda anymore so my plan is to go with brewing hot tea and pouring it over ice on my next cruise. I might also bring my magic bullet (finally!) so I can make my own fruit cocktails from the fresh fruit on board. :thumbsup2

I think this mom doesn't need any parenting advice.:thumbsup2

I'm not a pop/soda drinker. There's iced tea available, but it doesn't taste very good to me, so I make myself fresh brewed tea with a tea bag and then pour it over a cup of ice. They have a big box of Twinings in assorted flavors.

If you don't want to carry it on with you - you could touch base with Shirley - I would guess she would have it waiting for you :confused3

My son doesn't drink soda (he doesn't like it) and juice/lemonade is rare because of the sugar content. I love diet coke but for health reasons I've cut it down to not more than once a week so it's nice to know that iced tea is available. However, I like the idea of brewing your own tea because the kind they have probably won't be herbal. That's a grreat tip! Glad we will be able to get water at the drink station and milk in the dining rooms.

I didn't see on the website about milk at the drink stations, only that soda is available everywhere. Unfortunately, juice would be too expensive to have throughout the day, and we prefer our kids drink milk or water anyway. I also love the tips about making your own iced tea!

And in case no one else says it to you today, thanks for taking time to communicate! I know we've all got better things to do than obsess over our upcoming vacations :rotfl: but I appreciate all the advice I've gleaned from other Disers. :grouphug:

Thanks for all the advice! As far as Sunny D goes, there is no getting around it, he's Autistic and while he is very flexible in alot of things,,,he is not when it comes to his Sunny D in the morning (and only the morning-other than that he drinks water and milk, no soda or juices) He is very fixated on what he drinks but food wise will pretty much try anything. So, it will be much more enjoyable for all of us if I just pack it and bring it! :goodvibes

we let our kids have watered down pink lemonade...it is a compromise, it is vacation after all ;)

Personally, I don't have anything better to do than obsess about my vacations! :lmao:

On my last cruise, I only drank soda in the MDRs and would get water and put Crystal Light in it for Peach Tea (the only kind I like) or just drink the water, it's very good.
