Stroller seat VS infant car seat

Hey everyone!

So, I am coming to Disney soon (yay!) with a 4 month old and 2.5 year old. I have a double stroller with two seats. A seat can come off, and I can attach an infant car seat instead so I can have a regular stroller seat plus the car seat.

I am wondering if people who have done this before recommend bringing in the infant car seat or just the two regular stroller seats?

Pros to regular stroller seats: Baby can move around, air flow, lightweight
Cons to regular stroller seats: Baby has to face out (away from me)
Pros to infant seat: baby can face in (toward me), she can be buckled in more securely, we can take the infant seat into restaurants and leave the stroller parked somewhere
Cons to infant seat: Heavy, baby can't move around much at all, I'm afraid she could get hot in there, and I'm afraid our car seat could get stollen and that would be TERRIBLE.

Any input?

BTW, I do plan to baby wear in a carrier when she is up to it!

Your help is so appreciated!!!!

For us - I would go with the stroller seat. My 4 month old gets really hot in his car seating 50 degree weather so wouldn't make it in 80s. I would end up carrying him most of the time (hates our Ergo too) so he wouldn't be screaming his head off.

I know how hard it is to hold an infant during meals but it may be easier in the long run. Maybe you can get a small clip-on mirror to clip to these stroller so you can see your baby?

Also depends on how the car seat attaches - we rented a Citi mini double with the car seat attachment and decided against it immediately because it was really hard to fold the stroller with the attachment. Which made taking the Disney buses pretty much impossible. (We had a 3.5 month old. She didn't really sleep much in the stroller seat, but it was just easier to take the stroller without the car seat attachment.)

We have taken a car seat. And while my baby preferred that positioning, I will admit to being anxious parking it and worrying it would get taken or get rained on. So we had a rain cover just in case. Nothing ever happened and we always found it and it was dry.

He is just now at the point where he is fine riding in the regular stroller.

They do sell fans that clip to the stroller that you could use.

I think the car seat will be too hot.

When we took DS at 3 months old, he was fine in the City Mini stroller seat.

And I know it's totally hit or miss, but the times we showed up to a restaurant and DS was sleeping, they allowed us to roll
the stroller right up to our table.

Stroller seat is better. Car seat is way to hot. Plus would be another thing to carry when having to fold up the stroller. With kids you have enough stuff to take to the parks everyday without adding more. Hope you have a great trip. Our little one was 12 weeks and did great in the city mini.

Def. just use the regular stroller. It gets too hot in an infant seat. We've taken little babies (under 6 months) many times, a year and a half ago we took our 7 week old. I was concerned about her facing out too, so I did end up buying a single stroller that you could face inward, however a couple of days we used a double citi mini, so my older child could use it as well and it worked out just fine. As long as the stroller can recline most of the way, you'll be fine. I def. would not bring the infant seat attachment. It's not good for babies to be in that position for long periods of times anyways, plus it would get too hot.

ETA: You'll find that many restaurants will allow you to bring the stroller in with an infant that young, unless there's just no room (like a small place like Beaches-n- Cream or The Plaza).
