Stormalong Bay refurb…

Hello! My family and I will be heading to Beach Club 6/27/25-7/1/25. We knew booking the reservation that a refurb to Stormalong Bay was scheduled for Jan 2025-June 2025. We are newer DVC owners and not quite proficient on the time table of pool refurbs and wanted to ask this community if Disney sometimes beats the estimates of these time tables or are they usually spot on? Regardless we are looking forward to our time at Beach Club next summer!

This is a bigger refurb/ closure than has ever been done at SAB before. The timeline has already been extended from May to June & work hasn’t even started yet. SAB is a bigger & more complicated pool than any other on property, so not comparable to any other refurb. I don’t think there’s any way to know how accurate the timelines will be.

The only help I can give is to say that last year the Dunes cove pool at the BCV started almost two months late and went two two weeks longer than expected. Being that you are going in June, I would prepare for the pool to be closed. Especially because they have already extended the closer by a month.

My family are booked to stay at beach club early June 2025. Hoping for some luck and for the refurb to be complete by then for the early summer guests if not we are still happy with this resort and will visit the water parks if we decide on a pool day.

Visit the water park on arrival day and you won’t have to pay for water park tickets under the 2025 promo!

Are resale DVC members allowed to pool hop? I know that used to be a thing but we've never done it. We're also staying at BC in mid-june. Would we be able to go check out the BW pools if the Stormalong Bay is still under refurb?

Pool hopping ended during Covid, and never returned.

I would not expect it to be open in early June but more like the end of the month near the 30th or a few days earlier.
