Silly Question - Is there a Disney Jail on the Cruise Ships?

Not sure why this popped into my brain - but was just curious - what if there are some nefarious guests on board - what does Disney do with them?

I would guess they'd drop them off at the next port of call?

All ships have a location where someone who needs to be kept in secured quarters can be kept. And yes, they could disembark someone OR depending on why they needed to be held in secured quarters they could be held there until the ship returned to the US and handed over to the proper authorities.

That's a little different than someone who has assaulted a fellow passenger or something like that. Surely they do have a secure location to keep such people until they can be turned over to the proper authorities.

As I said, they do.

And worst-case, they post security outside the cabin of the person in question to prevent them leaving (moving them to an inside if necessary because they had a balcony).

Thanks for the info. I figured that they must be ready with some kind of process for folks who aren't behaving properly!

That's interesting to know. I've always been curious about this as well, so thanks for the reply and OP for posting.
In my 7 cruises I've never seen anyone remotely close to being unruly or belligerent, other than a couple of loud critters that had too much to drink. another checkmark on the list of 1000 things I love about DCL!

I'm pretty sure I saw someone being approached by security while leaving the Walt Disney Theater after an argument about saving seats before the show. I never figured out what happened, the security teams onboard go to great lengths to remain discreet and unseen.

While we did not witness it, on one of our DCL cruises we arrived for second dinner seating and everyone was abuzz about the big fist fight that broke out during 1st seating (they were still cleaning up parts of the dining room where the fight took place). So unruly passengers can be found anywhere even in the land of mouse!

Yes, there is a brig and several ways to secure a guest/passenger if needed.

As a psychiatrist who works in a prison, I would absolutely love to see the jail. I would imagine they must have people dealing with intoxication and withdrawal issues that need to be addressed as well. Would make for a fascinating tour that Disney would never offer.

I know some can be "quarantined" in their cabin and they get the off the ship at the next port.

Unfortunately we were not that lucky. We've encountered an obnoxious drunk guy before the fire drill of our first DCL cruise. LOL
