Shuttle service at westgate town center?

Hey guys my girlfriend and I are staying at the westgate town center in August and were just wondering if anyone had any experience with their shuttle service? I'm wondering if it is worth it to rent a car? We like being At the parks until close. We are trying to save some money but if the shuttle service at westgate is no good, I'd rather spend the money. Thanks.

when stayed there heard no one particular liked it. don't remember the exact complaints.

go to the transportation board - a few years ago they save me a couple of hundred on a car rental.

In 2010 we used the shuttle one day. Its not very flexible, they give you a set pick up time. I recommend a car

We were at Westgate Town Center this past Oct/Nov. We had a rental car, so did not use the shuttle, but did hear some people at the pool saying they wished they had rented a car, as they were not happy with the shuttle. I wasn't really paying attention and just happened to overhear the family talking, so am not sure what the complaint was.

Thanks guys. We did rent a car. Is there one parking lot that will take us to all the parks from monorail? I don't really remember...we have the hopper and will probably be going to multiple parks in a day.

If you park at magic kingdom, that will be the ticket and transportation center from there you can take the monorail to magic kingdom or Epcot. I'm not sure but a vaguely remember busses to animal kingdom and the studios from there as well.

from westgate the closest park is AK - so would be driving to the other parks as well.

you can park closed to Epcot and studios - AK is not really closer than the buses - and the MK (unless you are staying onsite) is a pain.

you do have to park at TTC - then you have to ride a tram to the TTC then monorail or ferry to the MK.

the others if you get there early - you can walk into the parks - not even necessary to ride the tram.

so we are staying here Nov 16-23rd. (timeshare exchange) I am planning on taking my daughter to the MK on probably that Tuesday.. if we were to take the shuttle there in the morning and have my husband and son pick us up that evening would that work or is it better for them to just drive us and drop/pick us up? I haven't been to Disney since I was a child and that was so long ago I don't remember much of anything. Also if they do take us from Westgate where is the best place for them to drop us off closest to monorail to get to MK - and then is it easy to get to the MK from wherever that is? sorry for the questions just want to be prepared ahead of time so I'm not frustrating my husband with how we need to get there on that day lol - we will be renting a car as well.
