Has anyone used sharpie markers on photo paper? I am worried about flipping through an autograph book and having it smear. Sometimes you see 2characters together and it may not have time to dry? Any experience with this?

I have had that exact issue. It was a photo and it stuck to the photo in front of it where the Sharpie had not dried. It didn't damage the photo but I lost some of the signature. So now I use Matte Photo paper or Cardstock.

I never had a problem with Sharpies on photo book (which is semi-glossy) paper.

I had uploaded my autograph cards and had them printed by Walmart as 4x6 photos. We used sharpies on these and had no problems.

If you are concerned maybe either give them a wave thru the air or a quick blow of air before putting them in the book.

I am a scrapbooker and there is a pen called a "slick writer", made by American Crafts. I bought my set of them several years ago so I have no idea about prices or availability. They write on slick surfaces such as photos, and dry almost instantly without smearing. They are safe for the photo paper and won't damage it.

They are also great for writing on CD's.

(BTW... I just typed SLICK WRITER into ebay and google and a bunch of stuff came up)

Good luck! :)

This is my experience and advice, too.
