Hi. We are looking for location recommendations on a standard studio for Saratoga in November. We are going to the parks and will spend a day at Disney springs. This will be out first stay here. Thank you

We always stay in Grandstand building. Walking distance to lobby, restaurants, golf course. It's the fist bus stop, so you almost always get a seat.

I don't want to give them any ideas ---

But The Grandstand is an absolute steal for standard points. Heck, I would still choose it if it was preferred.

Repeating Firepath a bit -

*First on and off the buses, with the exception of the Disney Springs bua

*Right at the Carriage House - very short walk - can't say that for Congress Park. And in hot humid times and rain, that is a real plus.

*Views - so peaceful - some are of the boats going up and down the canal. The chance of seeing the outside world ie. cars/roadways are very slim. That alone is a big deal to me.

*Many beautiful golf course views

*From the building I was in, I counted about twenty five steps to the pool from my room.

*that pool has a snack bar (closes some seasons I believe) and a kids' play area. And a refill station

*You are so close to the Disney Springs boat - short walk AND there is a walking path on the other side of the canal - bridge right there.

I have owned at Saratoga Springs since its inception, I rarely stayed there or even wanted to stay there. My stay in The Grandstand has totally changed my perspective.

(OT, renovations I will miss the stand alone table and chairs in the studios though - besides that the renovations look beautiful)

1st choice- building #85
2nd choice- building #81

Trust me on this.

Is this the grandstand location?
Yes it is. I like to call building #85 the lottery location, which I requested and got a couple years ago. Three minute walk to the Carriage House from #85.

I've never seen building numbers on the buildings at SSR. Is that new?

No, it's just not well known. I have posted my room text before, that I got when we stayed in building #85 at SSR.

I just did some digging a while back and figured it out.

They are not the real building numbers. Just what the room numbers are. Like building 85 starts with room 8501-8836, 81 starts with rooms 8101-8436. The official building numbers are 16 and 15 respectively. Since building numbers and room numbers are all jumbled up there you can request either way and MS understands.

Here is where Disney refers to the building numbers.

For close proximity to DS, I would recommend the Paddock, building 12. We ended up in this building once and found that we really liked the proximity to DS and the Congress park bus stop.

We also prefer the Paddock, pool adjacent, when we don't stay preferred. The two best pools right next to you and quick access to the main building. The points about the Grandstand are good too(if you can get the front two buildings)!

Right, that is why I refer to the two Grandstand buildings as lottery locations.

We've stayed at Congress Park, Paddock, and The Springs on our last three visits. People on here who are a lot more knowledgeable than me about SSR room placements can tell me if I'm wrong, but if I had my choice for a standard studio based on where I've stayed previously (we've only stayed in 1 or 2-bedrooms), it would be firstly Congress Park and then The Springs. I have not stayed at the Grandstand, but it looks really nice. For us, it's that we prefer to be closer to Disney Springs so we can walk over there in 5 minutes. I don't think you can go wrong with wherever you stay, but I'm very biased to this resort.

CP and Springs are Preferred Locations.

My typical request is "Paddock, close to Disney Springs." 2 minute walk from the Paddock feature pool and bus stop. 10 minutes from Earl of Sandwich. Stayed in that location last week. Never had any problems getting on a bus at the Paddock stop. Congress Park and The Springs were where guests started being turned away because buses were already full.

Grandstand has similar benefits, but given the choice I'd rather be close to Disney Springs than the Carriage House.

I stayed at the Paddock a few weeks ago in the middle building, right next to the pool and bus stop. I was very happy with the location, and we had a pretty decent view of the water, fountain, and Paddock bridge (though trees did restrict our view a bit). Disney Springs was about a 15 minute walk, and it was maybe 7 minutes or so to the Carriage House.
