Royal gathering is sold out but I'd like if possible to take my kids :/ is there a way for me to get on a waiting list?

Any advice for the non reservation character meets? Also advice to help two toddlers wait in line?

There are usually individual princess meet & greets as well at multiple times throughout the cruise. The draw of the Royal Gathering is that it includes several princesses (3-5) all out at the same time. Toddlers may actually do well with the individual slots where you can pick and choose the most important, over and done.

Also advice to help two toddlers wait in line?
Do you have another adult with you? Sometimes DS wait to the side (in a chair) until I got closer to the front, so he didn't have to stand the whole time, but he's a bit older. Also, if you show up early there *should* be less line waiting overall.

I'm the only grown up. DD is 4 DS will be 17mo.

We just sailed a few weeks ago and all the princesses at the gathering were available at other times/locations on the ship without a reservation, so just pay attention to the navigator app. Also there were a number of Princess interactions that were fairly spontaneous. We found them while playing midship detective.

In May I met Mulan at night with no line. She was just standing there so I thought why not?

I also was able to grab a Royal Gathering last September while sitting in the cruise terminal.

You might be surprised at how well-behaved your toddlers can be when waiting to meet their favourite characters! My daughter has 0 patience at home but she's able to stand/sit in long lines without a fuss just people watching, trying to contain her excitement. She was 3.5yo when she went on her first cruise and these lines really helped build her patience lol. A book or mess-free colouring might also help pass the time.

Please report back and let us know which princesses are on the Magic! We'll be on in Nov.

Cinderella, Ariel, Belle, Rapunzel and Tiana

Just go to guest services once you get on the ship to get on a wait list. We did this on two different cruises and got a place both times.

As a character are you able to send like a letter or something to a child before a cruise?
She basically just did. You can pass it on 😉

We were so lucky to have some extended WDW trips and cruises and over the course of multiple days, visited with Chip 'n Dale, "Hook" (as our 3yr old son called him) and others. The Characters remembered him and the play got better and better. We were so blessed.

My kids probably wouldn’t believe me if I told them that!
