Is the Rose & Crown open for lunch? Their posted hours say yes but when trying to book only shows available after 4:30.

I was just trying to figure this out myself. Hours have been updated to show dinner only now (4-9) and the menu has shrunk considerably -- no more burger and only 2 appetizers. Seems strange.

What a coincidence! I was wondering the same thing. A few years ago, I had a lovely lunch on the patio, watching the boats go across the lagoon. However, this morning I looked and the only menu they had was for Dinner. So I'm guessing that it's now only open for dinner. I wonder when this change happened and why.

There was speculation a while back that it wouldn’t even be serving dinner in the future

I imagine the lack of availability was 1) getting rid of lunch and 2) holding reservations for fireworks packages and then candlelight packages. The same thing happened w/all Hollywood Studios restaurants when they announced Fantasmic Dining Packages. When that opened up yesterday then the reservations were back.

I'm disappointed in the Menu. I was able to get a dinner reservation for Thanksgiving but might change. 2 App and 4 main selections. They removed a couple of our favorites.

The menu leaves a lot to be desired....there are definetly better places to dine at Epcot these days. Such a shame as I really enjoy the atmosphere there.

Is it true they aren't open for Lunch? I just tried to book for April and I am seeing the same thing

I was wondering the same thing, not one of my favorite places to eat but my wife like the whole atmosphere of Rose and Crown, there was a lot of talk sometime back that they were gonna stop serving lunch...Menu isn't that great

Rose & Crown no longer serves lunch. During that time period, anyone can now sit in the restaurant seats (indoor and outdoor) and enjoy a beverage from the bar, grab some QS, or just relax in the shade. They also have a pianist performing throughout the afternoon in the dining room.

I am SO disappointed in the new, considerably smaller, menu (and the fact that now you have to pay a premium for fireworks seating). Gone is the Bubble and Squeak and the Smashed Peas, 2 of my favorites. We used to reserve about an hour and a half before the fireworks, wait for a waterside table, and have a leisurely meal (don't worry, we ordered a lot and basically double tipped our waiter on our already hefty food bill, and our servers were always wonderful and fun to talk to). I would start with the beer sampler, we would have apps (yum - Scotch Egg, at least that's still on the menu), entrees, desserts, and DH would end with a Scotch sampler. lol I used to order Bubble and Squeak and Smashed Peas for my entree, although everyone else chose a regular entree. Certainly not "4 star" any longer, as the official web site says, imho. Ah, those were the days. Oh, well, at least we will save money on the booze if we even still eat there again.

I'm so disappointed. Morocco hasn't come back, availability all over too tied into dining packages for fireworks, concerts or other events. Monsieur Paul and others have gone all prix fixed. I think restaurants would do well without all of these tie-ins. We need more options and better a la carte menus, not less.

VERY interesting! Def a spot I would seek out with my fish & chips, while grabbing a beverage at the bar.

It's been a few years since we dined there, but enjoyed it a lot. Read this thread, didn't realize they had cut back the menu. Just looked at the current one and its nothing like the old. Very few options, and no sides now? Sadly, not much reason to go back.

I think it's been fairly recent. Last summer pretty sure they still had the full menu. We did the fireworks package and there was 3 or 4 appetizers and more entree options. When we repeated it in January there was only 2 appetizers and less entrees. Then it was called to my attention the main menu had been made much smaller and the package had the same exact menu.

Hope that doesn't become more of a trend.

Do you think it's possible that with:
- Park Reservations
- 2 pm park hopping
- New restaurants - Space 220, Japan, Crepe
- Improved QS - America, Connections
EDITED TO ADD: Festival Food Kiosks, thanks @fla4fun !

That some of the EPCOT TS restaurants are finding their lunch crowd slow? I could see them removing lunch at some of the restaurants, maybe pushing dinner start time to 3 pm. Means one shift only of staff.

that could be part of the problem.
And with EPCOT having more festivals (nearly year round with many food kiosks), I wonder if many of the restaurants are not as busy for lunch?

I have wondered if the festival food booths are causing the restaurants to lose customers for lunch. There are festivals almost year round now, and our family can’t be the only one who nibbles around the lagoon for lunch and then has a regular dinner. When the F&G festival was shorter, and F&W didn’t start until fall, there was a much greater need for lunch options.
