Can anyone recommend restaurants in/near the swan/dolphin? We will have our children (8,8,3) with us when dining. Also, we plan on staying there. Does the restaurants take reservations 180 days in advance like disney does? Thanks, Linda

Dolphin/Swan restaurants do take reservations, but not that far in advance. The Garden Grove has character dining, which may appeal to your kids. Downstairs there is also a Counter Service type restaurant that is similar to Beaches & Cream.

It's so close to Epcot that we tended to head over there for dinners. There is a great breakfast at the Beach/Yacht Club - Cape May Cafe.

I have booked both Il Mulino(Swan) and Bluezoo(Dolphin) 180 days out, so I expect the same would apply to Garden Grove. The Fountain and Cabana Bar @ the Dolphin are two good options with kids. This site might offer some assistance, as all are only a short walk or boat ride away. Have fun!!

I would recommend the ESPN Club which is located at the Boardwalk Inn/Boardwalk Villas, so it's a short walk from the Swan/Dolphin. Now they don't accept ADR's, however if there are no major sporting events happening then you shouldn't have any problems getting a table.

Lots of great dining choicesbat dolphin/swan.

We did garden grove character dinner on seafood night and were very surprised at how good food was. Charater interaction was great also.

Il Mulino was fantastic but you will need to decide if you want to deal with a nicer restaurant with your three kids. You may or may not prefer a more casual place.

We ate at pool bar and a few other casual places at dolphun/swan. All were good.

There are very nice casual choices- we loved Fresh for bfast or lunch, The Fountain was great for lunch or casual dinner and Pikabu is counter service which was good and convenient. Starbucks coffee too!! Garden Grove has characters and is easier to get into than some other character meals.

Shulas, Blue Zoo, Il Mulino and Kimonos are all very good fine dining options at the Swan/Dolphin. I think we made reservations 90 days before- but they are never as busy as WDW resort restaurants so probably not necessary to book super early.

There are quite a few dining options very close- any of the Boardwalk, Beach Club or Yacht Club restaurants are within walking distance. Epcot is right there too with all the dining options available there. Have fun!

The Dolphin offers 2 hours of complimentary kid care at Camp Dolphin if you are going to eat at the upscale restaurants (bluezoo, Shulas, Il Mulino). These 3 are pretty adult oriented.

The great thing about staying at an Epcot area resort is that you can easily walk to Epcot with there's a large number of dining choices. At the resort area, there is Cape May at Beach Club, Yachtsman Steakhouse (more family friendly than Shulas) and Captains Grille at Yacht Club, Kouzzina and Flying Fish at the Boardwalk. There's also the Big River Grille, Beaches and Cream and ESPN plus the casual places at the Swan/Dolphin.

I've made reservations at Swan/Dolphin at 180 days out before and I've also made them the day of.

Thanks everyone for all the great suggestions. Looked over ESPN's menu, seemed good and reasonable. Wonder why they don't take ADR's? Also, it would be great if we could get complimentary babysitting if we ate at IlMulino's. Thanks for the great info.
