It was operating tonight! SR sign was up and accessed on the left entry point, LL was only accessible via the middle entry point. I watched over a half a dozen get assigned to cars so it was definitely running. Even saw one couple in a mouse who refused to move and let the SR board, but the CMs were having none of it and kept at the couple until they scooted over. Another one the CM accidentally assigned a SR as a 4th rider but he obviously didn’t fit and was placed in the next mouse, suspect CMs are still getting a feel for the system.

Overall awesome news for single riders!

(And a warning for all shy riders, you might be sharing if you aren’t a party of 3 and no you do not get to refuse.)

I would not have wanted to be the poor SR who had to be forced into the car with the 2 who didn’t want to share the car. What an awful ride that must have been.

Unfortunately, the mouse vehicles are cut very small… fitting 3 adults into any one vehicle gets problematic the minute you are dealing with anyone of size, tall, wide or both. Hopefully the CM’s will be trained to exercise a modicum of discretion and common sense in implementing SR. Otherwise this has the potential to get very ugly, very fast.

BTW, I am usually solo and often share my ride vehicle so this isn’t an issue for me… not that I want to share my doombuggy or flying ship on PP… but I have shared a mouse car on Remy before. 2 people is fine but I think 3 is asking for problems. YMMV

I have zero problem with single rider but three to a row at Remy is tough. I do not fit well on Remy, my legs are too long to sit straight so I have to turn them to the side. I couldn't ride it with a third person next to me.

I've never quite understood why the Remy cars are so short from seat to end of the interior area for your knees. Space mountain is another that's bad but Remy is the worst for me. Third is Seven Dwarves.

Actually I think they have more room than one thinks, the couple were both somewhat overweight as was the SR and I noticed they managed a touch of space between the parties. (I was wondering if they would all fit so I took particular notice, obviously they’ll slide into each other as the ride goes though.)

Not really. Anyone gets “ugly” at Disney and they’ll learn real quick how their ticket has $0 value without Disney’s consent.

This is great news! Like Test Track, the cars seat 6, so the SR line should work quite well. I know there is some concern about the size of the cars, but they seem plenty big enough to me. It also seems better than hving someone like me, who would go through the normal queue but be a single rider, getting a row to myself. It's a waste of bandwidth. I feel like they may have seated me next to someone before, but I know a few times It was just me. I never mind riding with others - it's just part of the theme park experience.

Remy was by far one of the worst for load factors. Enforcing 3 per row will cut down on the wait times. I have almost always rode it as a single in a row by myself with a party of 2 in the other row.

Ugly is, of course, a relative term… I’ve seen lots of it that was nowhere near having someone removed from the park. Perhaps “unpleasantness” is better… and more appropriate since I can imagine many unhappy people voicing their displeasure to the discomfort of others. Not the way anyone wants to enjoy Remy… such a sweet ride!

As I said, I share ride vehicles often and have done so on Remy. I do worry about people of size. Think of airplane seating and the looks someone gets when they need to squeeze in. That’s my fear… but I will readily admit to being soft hearted to a fault perhaps. Hopefully they have signs warning people.

I'll give it a try in a few weeks - I am almost always solo, some rides the SR line isn't very beneficial but I doubt this one will have groups doing SR to save time. 🤞

Saw groups of family to a dozen hitting SR this morning, didn’t try myself so idk what their wait times were like.

I’m curious to see how this plays out. When my mom, nephew, and I ride we can’t sit in a row together. I don’t mind someone being there, but I don’t know if they’d fit.

I know some have mentioned text track but I feel like it’s wider. Maybe just the feeling of having your own seat makes it feel that way.

Agree. I don't mind as long as I don't have a stranger's sweaty thigh wedged against mine.

I'm solo 90% of the time so I often ride in rides with someone else. Someone upthread mentioned how it must have been uncomfortable for the poor single rider when the couple didn't want to move over. I can say, yes it is. I was on single ride on EE once and it was a mom, dad and kid. First they wanted to be in the back so the CM told them they would have to step aside and wait until another single rider popped up. Mom argued for a while about that then the dad finally convinces mom it's going to be o.k. where they are (meanwhile the entire ride is not going waiting for them). Dad and son are in one seat and I get put with mom, who was not happy. Evidently she thought she would have the row to herself. The entire ride she is frowning and mumbling and just unhappy. I did not enjoy that ride and wanted it to end as soon as possible. I'm a smallish woman so I scooted myself as far into the corner on my side as I could to try to make her a little happier.

I was on TGMR (may it rest in piece) once and they squeezed me into a row of 3 or 4 already (can't remember how many those seats hold). I was on the end and a larger man next to me who felt it really was necessary to do the man spread. I was so close to the side I was turned to the side to even fit. Not fun.

The only thing that would bother me about Remy would be that it does bounce around some so I slide, same with MMRR. I try to hold onto the bar and keep myself still but sometimes I bounce into someone.

Yeah, I've had the ocassional issue where someone wouldn't move over to give me the seat. 🙄 I know it throws off the grouper's counts, but what am I going to do? I can't force the issue. Personally, I think it's silly - the more the merrier is always my call. I mean, i'm an introvert too, but at Disney we can all be instant friends! That's one of the reasons I like it so much.

Here now and just gave the SR queue a try yesterday. Walked directly onto the ride around 3pm. The only other single rider was a gal in front of me, and she simply refused to get in with her assigned party and informed the cast member that she would be waiting. The CM seemed flummoxed and simply let her do it. So she walked onto a 50 minute wait ride and had a row to herself. 🤦🏼‍♀️. That said, I think they are going to need to be careful with grouping, especially with larger or taller riders. Those are tight rows. Overall, I think it’s a great step forward at Remy, and I’ll look forward to seeing how it evolves.

I wonder why it's such an issue at Disney? Never had an issue at Universal, and they have so many more rides with single rider lines.
