Recent experience with O'hana breakfast?

Does anyone have any recent experience with breakfast at O'hana? The DIS review on YouTube from earlier in the year was pretty unfavourable.

My kids aren't much into characters ... except for Stitch. Should I be considering O'hana breakfast or just focus on meeting Stitch in the parks?

Just me, but 'Ohana has been disappointing for quite some time now. Skip it for a better opportunity.

I've never been there. Book it every year, but opt for something else. Just don't know if it's worth it.

We went last summer and I was disappointed. I think since COVID Ohana hasn't been the same, I miss the golden age of Ohana when we used to go circa 2008-2012 era. It was so much better. I think it is hard to get time with stitch without the Ohana reservation however I do not think it is worth the price tag. I know he is often in Tomorrowland

Thanks everyone for your thoughts, seems like there's a consensus that it's not worth it!

I’ll give an opposite opinion. I have two young boys (6,8) and they absolutely loved it. We just went in March 2024. They loved the music, the characters (especially stitch) and the food. They are begging me to bring them back for this next trip.

My husband and I enjoyed it too. We never felt rushed, had a table by the window. It was a very positive experience

We have not been to Disney in years, but Ohana breakfast was always a must do for our family. As my kids were growing up, we were a yearly Disney trip family, and the Poly is our favorite resort. I never thought the breakfast was significantly different from any other on-site breakfast, it is all about the atmosphere and the characters. Both my boys brought big Stitch plushes to breakfast at different times that Stitch signed and they kept for years. My DS13 and I are going on a trip in January (he is the youngest) and Ohana breakfast is the plan for our last morning. For us, a disney trip is not complete without a breakfast with Stitch. I will also admit I have a stitch tatoo and may be a bit biased :)

Thanks for the opposing viewpoints as well!

I assume I won't get an O'hana reservation until later in my trip anyway, so maybe I will book it. If we can manage to get enough Stitch in the parks before our reservation, then it will be an easier decision to cancel.

Having never been here yet, I think “is it worth it?” is the appropriate question. IMO no it’s not. There’s no doubt the upcharge is being a character meal. But if I’m dropping that kind of money, it’s Boma all day. There’s no comparison in quality and quantity.

We just went in October and loved it. There were 6 of us including my Stitch-loving niece and we all thought the food was great and there was plenty of it. The character interaction was fun too. If she still loves Stitch next trip, we would definitely book again!

Kind of off topic, but I haven't watched a DIS review on Youtube in a long time because they are pretty much ALWAYS negative. I find it hard to find any of their advice helpful.

Editing to throw in a few pics...

Like everything else, what is "worth" it to one person isn't worth it to another. I know people who don't think Disney is worth it.

Is the breakfast food outstanding? In my opinion, no. It's mostly standard breakfast food that you can pretty much get anywhere with a little coconut flair to it. But if you want a character meal or a big breakfast or the experience and you don't mind paying the price, it can be a good experience. I think like a lot of Disney character meals, you aren't really going for the food but the experience.

It’s * ’Ohana*, not *O’hana*.

My 8 year old LOVES Stitch and with Mickey and Pluto included we went ahead and did it. My kids LOVED it. Husband and I were side eyeing the price and food options lol It was one of those "one and done" for the sake of a core memory for our kids. So for that reason it was worth it for us, just barely.

We were there twice this year - December 2023 and just a few weeks ago in October 2024. December 2023 character interaction was amazing, but food/service slow and really not great. October 2024 - food and service were EXCELLENT, like to the point we couldn't believe it was the same restaurant. However, they seated us almost 40 minutes after our reservation time. With a 3 year old, close to nap time already (our reservations were for 11:15).... that was rough to me. It also took a solid 1.5 hours to see all the characters, and we had to wait for Stitch because, well - that's why we were there!

So, mixed reviews. If you have the money and time and are willing to take a gamble on food, go for it. Also a great way to see Stitch (and Lilo, the only place I believe) and Mickey and Pluto, if seeing characters is important to you. That's what you're really paying for. But it is certainly not a must do.

Used to be a every year go to for dinner but has become very disappointing, we stopped going right before Covid hit gave it another shot is 2022 and was even worse its been off our list since
