QVC Host (Judy)

I was flipping through the channels and stopped at QVC for a minute. A caller wished Judy Crowell good luck on her new endeavor. I was just wondering what Judy was going to be doing.

I've shopped with QVC about fourteen years, but am new here.

I wanted to share, with whomever's interested, that I e-mailed Judy Crowell to ask about the rumor that she and Paul Deasy were married.She wrote back that they're married, happy, and had decided not to discuss this on-air. Having watched poor Judy ten years ago during the disastrous Jeff fiasco, I completely understand their wish for more privacy. Other viewers who e-mailed either Paul or Judy received similar replies.

Judy probably is cautious this time, knowing that, if she wears a wedding ring, public and media attention could go out-of-control again. Maybe not, you say? But she doesn't want to take that chance. Anyone who read Kathy Levine's first book knows how crazy it got.

I heard that, last week, one caller did get in a "congratulations" during a chat with Judy, without naming Paul. Judy was said to have thanked the woman with a smile, and then concluded the call.

Paul started wearing a signet ring on his left hand before he left Q. He mentioned the ring bore his family crest , which he had always wanted (maybe a gift from Judy?). She wrote in her note that Paul plans to further his education at the Gemological Institute of America, & also to write a book about gemstones. Maybe something else will be in the works, but he just can't say right now. We'll see, I guess. I'll miss Paul at QVC.

Anyhow, they've both looked so happy. Here's wishing them a long and wonderful life together!

I remember that whole Jeff & Judy fiasco. Here's hoping she and Paul have a very happy life together. I don't think I know who Paul is. Don't watch QVC half as much as I used to.

i just did a google search for paul deasy, cause the name did not ring a bell. I got what i believe is an old QVC bio, which said he lived with his wife and 2 kids...and wife's name was not Judy?

There was another Paul listed...Paul Kelley....no spouse mentioned for him....

I read that Paul Deasy had divorced. This new marriage was to have taken place this past Sept.

I also just read while looking for info about Judy that Jane has left QVC. I didn't know that either.

Seems like all the old hosts I liked are gone. Guess it really shows I don't watch it mutch.

I did a search and there is a board out there that has a QVC Board. Its www.tvtalkshows.com You could search the QVC board my host name.

It appears that many of the posters over there believe that seasoned QVC hosts are leaving because of differences with new management(?)

A coworker who loves the silver jewelry on QVC told me a couple weeks ago that Jane had left, she said she decided to spend time with her family (she has 2 young daughters). She has a website:

I'm glad to hear that Judy is happy. I remember the Jeff Hewson fiasco too, I wonder what ever happened to him?

That is the board that I copied the info from. Some interesting topics ~ these people are WAAAY into QVC and the hosts.

I met Judy and Paul at a restaurant in Carefree, AZ in February. She is just as nice in person as she is on QVC

I think she went to HSN. I don't watch either network much (I always need exactly what they happen to be selling ) but I think I remember hearing that.

Judy's last day will be April 14. I'll be sad to see her go because I always felt she was a really great host!

The marriage only lasted a couple months. Kathy Levine wrote a little about it in her book. It was a whirlwind romance and apparently once they moved in together after the wedding they found they were not compatible and it fell apart. It was nasty, the blame seemed to fall on Jeff and he left QVC shortly after.

Kathy Levine has her own line of clothes & jewelry and she appears on HSN with it as a guest every so often.
