ok, so the reason I don't know the answer to this is because much to the dismay of my children and myself, we don't have uncrustables in Canada!! :confused3 But they did have them in Storyland, NH and really liked them.

So, I plan to buy juice and water from garden grocer for when we arrive, and I noticed that they sell uncrustables. Since that would be such a treat for my kids :lmao: I was going to buy a box of them (we're there for 12 days). We're staying at CBR and have a mini fridge, but it looks like it doen't have a freezer. Can you keep uncrustables in the fridge or do they have to be kept frozen??

I have mine in the fridge now. They are individually wrapped so you will be fine with keeping them in the fridge.

They are fine in the fridge. I work in a school cafeteria that sells these. They come in frozen but we keep a couple of cases at a time in the fridge with no problems at all.

I have kept them in the fridge for up to 2 weeks and they have been fine.

Just so you know, you can buy a "Cut-n-Seal" through Pampered Chef to make these. I will make several of these on the weekend and then freeze them. The kids take them to school frozen and by the time lunch comes they are thawed out. :cool1:

I have seen this as well. Does it only work with 'fluffy' types of white bread, or will it seal denser breads as well?
On out first trip to the world we would bring them in the park for a snack- really convenient and the boys loved them!! :thumbsup2

I use my PC cut and seal with 12 grain and whole wheat bread successfully - DS likes it better anyway :thumbsup2

One tip when making your own - spread both sides with PB then put your jelly in the middle - it keeps the bread from soaking up the jelly. I make a batch at a time then freeze them - works great! To be honest, its not that much cheaper for me to make my own, but we're a whole grain and multigrain family - I also use a fruit only spread too, so making my own aligns a little more with how we eat...and that probably jacks up the price of making my own I suppose.
