Priceline Hotels - Can you Cancel or Transfer Reservation?

I made a mistake today and accidentally made a hotel reservation for Jan. 27 through Priceline.com

I really didn't think that I would get the room since I put in such a low price of $50 for the night for a 3 star hotel. I'm pretty sure that there is no way to cancel reservations made through Priceline but, I wanted to see if any of you knew if there was a way to do it.

We will just stay there if it comes down to it but, I would really rather stay on Disney property.

Is it possible to transfer the reservation to another persons name? If so, maybe I could find someone that is looking for a room that I could transfer it to. If that is possible, is it ok for me to put a post up asking for interested people?

You cannot cancel Priceline reservations. That is one of the catches. This is a really nice hotel.

As for transferring-- it gets tricky. I've done it, but I really had a hassle in doing so.

As for offering it here- we don't allow for sale type posts.

While they don't allow for sale posts... isn't that what the first post is?? LOL!

Anyway, one way to get around the PL transfer option would be to be there when the person you transfer to is checking in....Then just have thier CC put on for extra stuff and head out...

Also, make sure you check www.biddingfortravel.com or www.betterbidding.com for hotel prices in the future. I actually think that what you put it was probably guranteed to get you a hotel in Jan.

You can also just simply add the other persons name to your reservation. To do this just call the hotel directly and add the name.

That's a good price for the Sheraton Safari. And they are really close to DTD (closer than most Disney resorts!) - right outside the gates, in fact. If I were you, I'd just stay there (it's only 1 night!). They have a great pool and the rooms are Sheraton quality.

We stayed at the Safari on Wednesday night. I got it through Hotwire for $61. It is a really nice place, and the beds are the most comfy that I have ever slept in. It is very close to downtown disney. If I were you, I would go ahead and stay there, and save your money for character meals.
