We bought this over the weekend and it is very cute. We are going to make another day trip in December before Christmas. Would we be able to bring this with us and fill it up while there?

My understanding is the buckets can be refilled for the discounted price during the entire length of the visit you are on when you purchase the bucket just like the refillable drink mugs at the resorts. So in theory if they are two separate trip you really aren't supposed to bring the bucket back for your second trip. But I'm sure plenty of people do. Unless they ask to see a receipt they don't know when you actually bought it.

I think they are length of stay, rather than season? Although, I guess, no one would know.

Also, do they have other Christmas buckets?

When I asked last week if the Pluto bucket was refillable I was told that no, it wasn't. That was at HS last Thurs.
The regular souvenir bucket that IS refillable is currently holiday themed.

You can try getting it refilled, but since it says length of stay, I wouldn't. But that is just me

Does anyone know if these are still available or if they sold out? We are checking in Nov 26.

Sadly I never realized you could buy refillable tubs until reading on this board. I have over 20 of these tubs in the house because this is what my daughter collects from out trips popcorn buckets.

That bucket is super cute!

Are the non-holiday refillable popcorn buckets initially covered on the dining plan? If the initial purchase was covered, it would be a good deal for me to subsequently pay out of pocket since my kids love popcorn. Also, how much of a pain in the butt is it to carry these around? Do they have detachable handles that maybe can be cooked onto a strap or something?

TIA.

All the menus I have seen show snack credit only for refills.

Yes handles come off, they just pop on like a cheap sand bucket. Even the bigger ones with fabric straps come off.

Really hoping there are some left when we are there the first week of December! They are so cute! MK will be our first day, has anyone spotted them there? I would like to buy it early to take advantage of the refills for the whole week.

I read previously the popcorn stand near Space Mountain in the MK has them. That is the same place where I scored an Oogie Boogie bucket while everyone else was in line at the one in the hub :)

The popcorn buckets are not included in the dining plan according to this, although the refills are per the photo upthread:
Certain items are not included in any Disney dining plan such as:
• Items (such as popcorn or drinks) that are served in a souvenir container

From the dining plan pdf:

They have no way of knowing when you purchased your bucket.

They will refill your refillable bucket for $1.50 until your bucket’s style is discontinued.

You can find plain butter all over every park. There are savory flavors (cheddar, sour cream/chive and Buffalo Blue) outside the Imagination pavilion in Epcot. You can get maple flavor at the cart in MK’s Frontier Land or Canada in Epcot.
