Do you have to use the airport parking lot; which lot is best?

Can you go to arrivals and pick someone up that way? Will you get booted out for waiting too long?

We will be in Lake Buena Vista near Downtown Disney. How much time should we allow to get to the airport?

Can you get a shuttle from the airport to go any hotel in Lake Buena Vista? Do you have to pre-arrange for this shuttle service? What companies provide shuttle service? We are staying at the Residence Inn in Lake Buena Vista.

Thanks for the help, here.

There is a cell phone lot to the south of the airport. Wait there and have the party call you when they have collected their baggage.

If you are looking for shuttle, Mears provides a walk up shuttle that you set up when you get there.....

Thank-you. Your info was very helpful.

Yep, use the cell phone lot and wait for them to call you when they get outside and can give you the door number (overhead) they are at. Waiting for people at the arrival curb can get you booted out by the parking patrol.

Note that there are separate (alternating) curb areas for cars, buses, taxis, hotel shuttles, etc. If a car area is not directly in front of Door Number 4 or whatever, it can be confusing exactly where to meet your party.

If this is your first time picking up someone, you might want to converse on the cell phone for awhile after he is out at the curb and able to describe same, to get all the details straight before driving up to meet him.

They will definitely ask you to move if your party is not waiting outside to be picked up.
We were picking up relatives one time. They said they were waiting for us. we got to the arrivals area and could not locate them. I don't think we stopped for more than a minute before being 'asked' to move. When I say asked I mean... move or get a ticket.

You can also park in the garage right at the airport. While there is probably as easier way than this, in the past, I follow the signs for the HYATT hotel parking. That get me into the terminal garage. then I have walked to the terminal to greet arriving passengers.

It's short term parking - a little expensive - but not as much as a shuttle,

Where exactly on the platform were your relatives at the moment you arrived?

Don't forget that many columns holding up the awning or upper deck look alike. This also causes confusion even if you are not a first timer.
