Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

Now here's another question - if I am paying with a gift card, does it matter that I have my debit card saved on my account? I don't have to delete that do I? I am assuming it should give me a payment method choice, correct?
No issue and no need to delete your Debit card or other saved cards on your MDE profile you can have up to 6 saved. Also consider saving your Gift Card number in a Notes file on your Smartphone and then just Cut/Paste it into your MDE LL purchase field.

As a reminder you can't save Gift Cards as one of your up to 6 payment choices.

The earliest LL time I could get on any ride in Epcot was 9:10 am (Pixar films). Has anyone had luck booking Frozen after tapping into a ride during the 9am hour there? We are debating whether or not to race back to Frozen during early entry (and change the Pixar LL to something else), but that is what many other people will also be doing with Test Track closed. The other option we are looking at is just rolling the dice with a potential pickup of Frozen after first tap in. Any thoughts or other strategies would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

You should always utilize EE whenever possible there is somewhat of a split with many guests heading for Frozen and another wave heading to Remy with TT down for the TestTrack 3.0 re-theme.

We're going to try this out next week. We for the first time in forever lol are goi g to RD Soarin and then tap into something (anything) as soon as possible and try for Frozen. If we get it great, if not, no one in my group will care too much so I figured we'd save some steps and back tracking. We'll see how it goes.

If you actually tap in at 9:10am, Thrill Data says you would be successful getting Frozen on most days, but sadly not guaranteed.

I literally just did it on the 19th. Had a 9a Pixar film LL as a throwaway, tapped in and was immediately able to get Frozen at 6pm. I could have backed it up if I wanted to but I liked the evening time bc we are midday break folks. Frozen sticks around a lot longer than Remy, I’ve seen, and is trivial to get in the first hour day of. I did it this way specifically so we wouldn’t have to race to Norway first thing in the am and then criss cross the park back to Discovery for Cosmic Rewind. We rope dropped Soarin instead, and didn’t race to be front of the pack (we had a late night at MK EEH the night before).

I think that is how we are going to do it, too. We may try Spaceship Earth or Soarin during EE and then dash over to Pixar films to tap in and try for Frozen. Let's hope we aren't all battling a hurricane next week. Another low pressure system is brewing in the Caribbean now, with 50% chance of development into some type of storm. Fingers crossed it fizzles out. Have fun next week!! This is our only trip for the year, so we have really been looking forward to it.

Yes, definitely hoping it fizzles out! Hope you guys have a great time!

Thanks for the info! That is our plan, as well. We really didn't want to go to Frozen and backtrack for our Cosmic Rewind time. It's good to know that you were able to do that.

We were very successful doing this a couple weeks ago. Prebooked Remy, Spaceship Earth and then Pixar film throwaway at 9am. RD Soarin then was able to get Frozen after tapping in without even refreshing. It made for a much more chill morning. Tbh I think this is how I’m going to handle rope dropping from the front from now on, at least until Test Track comes back. Frozen is really easy to get in that first hour, at least for now.

Rope dropping Soarin is potentially pointless if you buy LL because it’s constantly available throughout the day

Yeah, we'll use a fastpass to get a 2nd ride later in the day. We're not wanting t trek all the way to Frozen or Remy with everyone else just to turn around for GoG and the other future world rides so we're going back to rope dropping soarin and looking forward to a low key rope drop for a change.

Remember you can scan into LL #1 5 mins before it’s official time.

At the World now and wanted to give my experience. Only bought LLMP for one day, and booked my three for HS. Star Tours at 9, Slinky at 11 and Swirling Saucers at 12 along with a LLSP for Rise at 10. Tapped into Star Tours and got MFSR for 10 also. Did Rise and MFSR, quick stop at Woody's for pop tarts and started booking at MK. Booked HM for 4:20. Tapped into Rise and booked BTMR for 1:55. Picked up pretty much unnecessary LL for Small World, Teacups just because we could. It's been worth it, but not nearly as necessary as it was previously.

I just made my lightening lanes for 6 days of our 7 day trip for our group of 6. I hated to spend that much more on top of an already expensive trip but I think the MLL/ILL system will be pretty necessary for our group. We’re coming for Canadian Thanksgiving/ Columbus Day and crowds are predicted to be high.

Anyway.. we got everything we wanted at the exact times we wanted. The only hiccup was that my credit card started denying the purchases halfway through because it was flagged for suspicious transactions ( multiple foreign currency purchases in a short time period). I easily switched to my other payment method using Apple Pay.

The entire thing took 11 minutes from start to finish.

Thanks for the feedback. I do ours on Friday and Saturday and I am so nervous and I know I shouldn't be lol. We are a group of 6 for Friday and then I do my parents on Saturday.

Good luck! I was nervous about it too since I was booking for the whole family. It was much easier than I anticipated. :)
