Pics of DCL Birthday Stateroom Celebrations please??

Hi - celebrating dd's 12th birthday with a short cruise on the Wonder in Feb, and was thinking of booking the Stateroom Celebration Package. Has anyone had this and if so was it any good (seems really good value at $39!), and do you have any pics please?

I'm sure someone will have pics of the actual bday one, but while you're waiting, here are pics of the "Bon Voyage" package that we had. (The birthday one is similar.) It was fun and festive and I thought it was worth the money.

Here are some photos from when we ordered last month.We got the souvenier box decorations and a cake my son who turned 12 was thrilled he loved it. They also give you a button at the fron desk and everyone will stop and acknowledge it's your birthday

It was the same... $39. It really added some flair to the stateroom. My kids loved it.

My mom is going on her first with us in Aug(unless we can talk her into a 7 day ). I am thinking it would be nice for her as well as my kids. Thats a good price.

DH and I are cruising for his birthday in January. I plan on doing the b-day stateroom celebration.
If I go to guest relations, they will give me a birthday button for him to wear on his big day? That would be kinda neat--he would really get a kick out of it!

At this time they only have Birthday and Bon Voyage stateroom celebrations, but you can get an anniversary memory box left in your room (it's in the "exclusive merchandise" section).

DCL Gifts and Amenities

You could also add a bottle of wine, etc.

Here are a few of the Birthday Celebration that I surprised my DH with:

It was a nice touch, well worth it, and I think the DH was pleasantly surprised. In fact, we're thinking about doing it for my DSIL in September since we'll be sailing during her birthday.

I would love to give my parents the cake...is it included with the happy birthday decorations? We are going for their 60th and 65th birthdays...would love the cake...but don't need the decorations

The cake is included in the package. As far as I know, they don't offer the cake as a stand alone item in their choices, but Disney being Disney I wouldn't be surprised if they'd accomodate that request. I'd give DCL a call and ask.

We told our head server about a birthday that one of our tablemates was having at the beginning of dinner... by dessert time they'd brought a cake and the nearby servers sang to him. Since we'd all eaten a big dinner, nobody was in the mood for cake, so he just took it with him. I'm thinking if you want just to have a cake, talk to your head server.

We cruised with friends and their son had just graduated from high school. We told the waiter and they brought him a cake following dinner. I don't know anybody would pay for a celebration package when you can get the cake just by letting your waiter know that you are "celebrating".

You can request a cake in the dining room and there is no charge for it. I've had from the standard small cake to a custom decorated 9" cake.
