Parks in the morning, Volcano Bay in the afternoon?

Is it feasible to do this, or is Volcano Bay usually super packed? We'll be there May 7-14th. We would still plan to dedicate one day just to Volcano Bay... We're staying at Cabana Bay.

It's May. And it will be very busy. On weekdays it might be slower. I would NOT just do it in the afternoon. Go early and hit the big rides because in the afternoon the lines will be long especially the water coaster and the flume rides. And it will be getting hotter by then. Afternoon's good for the lazy rivers.

Also if you are staying at Cabana Bay you might be able to take advantage of early entry, they will let you know when you check in.

I love Volcano Bay. I just think it is a lovely water park. Plus it does have a Pacific Island vibe which I am so into.

Thank you! We fully intend to dedicate an entire day to Volcano Bay. But then we have 4 full days for the other parks, which I thought we maybe wouldn’t need? We’re there EARLY May and crowd predictions are quite low, but I truly have no idea cause we haven’t been 😆

I think 4 days is good. There's lots to do at Cabana Bay as well. Great pools, a lazy river, arcade and bowling alley. Also a full Starbucks (if that's your thing.) You can take the parks at a more leisurely pace And if you can't hit a ride one day you can hit on another day. I hope you have a wondeful time.

That’s the plan. Thank you so much for your perspective :)

You can bounce back and forth with no problem (assuming park-to-park tickets). You can even check the App for the wait times and let that influence if/when you want to park hop.

Personally, I would much rather do several partial days at VB than one full day. Keeping yourself busy the whole day aside, that is a LOT of stairs if you do the big rides.

Noted!!! Thanks!

September 2021 we did Universal Studios in the morning and then went to Volcano Bay. We rented a cabana and arrived 12:00, ordered lunch from the cabana then did some slides, etc. It was amazing and half a day was perfect for us. I do think maybe because it was September it was not so crowded, but with Tapu Tapu never a wait. Enjoy it is so much fun.

The cabana's are wonderful. We got a bunch of friends together and did it. We had a fantastic time and the tapu tapu was working well. Premium seating also works well.

A few alcoholic beverages may have been consumed.
