One-way transportation from Port Canaveral TO WDW?

Sorry if this should be easy to find, but I can’t.

Does DCL offer ground transportation after the cruise to WDW? We cant go before. We get back to port Saturday and I realized we could fly back late Sunday giving us enough time to dip into one park.

If using a Disney bus can get us into the parks faster than doing a normal disembark (not concierge) and taking a Uber or booking a car, I’d be interested.

Thanks!

If you are staying at a Disney World resort, you can book Disney bus transportation from the port to your hotel. Busses typically leave as they fill up, so they may or may not be quicker than getting a ride share but will probably be quicker than renting a car, which requires waiting for a bus to the rental agency.

The cost of the bus is $45 per person. You would need to compare that to a car service, which is typically a flat rate based on the size of the car rather than the number of people.

Taking a Disney bus to the resort won’t get you off the ship any earlier.

Thanks so much for your detailed answer. :)

Yeah I wasn’t sure about the any sooner. I just thought it might get luggage tags that got called sooner. But it’s probably not much of a difference regardless. :)

We tried to do a car rental last January. We'll never make that mistake again. It took forever for the transport to the rental agency to even pick us up. Once we got there, I stood in line a good 45 minutes without seeming to get anywhere. I ended up cancelling it and calling a ride share. The afternoon we expected to spend at downtown Disney was a bust. My advice is to call a ride share or stay on the Disney property and use that transportation.

Thanks. I reread my initial note and I wasn’t clear. I meant booking a car service, not a rental car. But good to know not to ever do that! :)

We are a family of 4 so a car service was actually cheaper than paying the $45x4 for the Disney bus back. We did the bus last time and it was smooth and easy. This time we are doing private transportation/car service and it’s $170, which Is less expensive, although not by much.

Can I ask which car service you are using? We are trying to find one that offers transfers from PC back to the Disney World area (not staying at a Disney World resort) but are having trouble finding services that offer that route.

We use Gear Fusion. We have used them a bunch when we go to WDW. Their website shows only Port Canaveral to MCO, but they also do Port Canaveral to Disney resorts. You just have to call/text/email them and they can set it up.

I thought resort buses were holding until 9am? If so, the bus definitely will not be quicker than an Express Debarkation and using a car service. It really depends on how early you want to debark as well as how early you want to be in the parks. On your own you can probably get to a park by 9:30am (maybe sooner). If taking DCL Transfers I wouldn't plan on entering a park until noon.
