every time i check the capital one travel portal i see akl or all star listed unavailable anybody ever got on property with miles?

They were pulled from Chase’s portal years ago so wouldn’t be surprised if Cap1 doesn’t have them. Do you have a Venture card? Those points can be applied to travel purchases made with the card so you don’t have to go through the portal to use your miles.

Just book your hotel with Disney using your cap one and after it posts you can get a statement credit. Any travel coded purchase works. I did it for a payment on our cruise also.

It depends how flexible you are with defining "on property." The Swan and Dolphin can be booked with Marriott points. It's on-property but not Disney-owned.

We stayed at Swan Reserve in November and paid entirely with Marriott points, booked through the Marriott site. I linked the reservation to the Disney App and our room had a view of the fireworks :D

I will say, if you're a Marriott person, expect few if any of the Elite perks like late checkout or a full breakfast.

Disney hotels show up in the Citi Thank You points portal-just stayed at All Star Music for just over 12,000 points last week. Coronado and Port Orleans were other options, and the prices/redemption rates were pretty good.

They must have pulled all of the Disney owned properties. I know moderate and value were there before.

Really stinks as you can’t use your $300 credit from the Venture X unless you book through the portal. Best bet is swan and Dolphin which are not Disney owned but provide the deluxe benefits.

Swan/Dolphin with Marriott points- pay using a statement credit type cc for onsite to pay yourself back..... stay at one of the Disney Springs hotels (hilton, Holiday Inn etc) using one of their cc's and reward points (on property but slightly 'off')

I read a very positive review recently of the new Drury Plaza in Disney Springs. That could be available through the C1 portal, or just book it directly with a Barclay and use points, or Chase Sapphire Reserve $300 credit.

The only way I've done it was through my Cap 1 card as a travel credit. I did a couple of nights at the Dolphin with points and then 5 nights a CSR and redeemed my travel credit. That's the only time I've been able to get a "free: hotel stay at WDW.
