Our son is 30 months old & still sleeps in a crib (with a crib tent). We tried a toddler bed this summer for 1.5 months & it was a nightmare... so we plan to stick with the crib & crib tent until age 3 (he loves it, so no problem there). We are going to Disney when he is 34 months old. We do NOT expect to have transitioned to a bed by that point. And we DO want our son to sleep & nap while there, so the crib & tent are necessary!!
(Trust me on this one! ha) We do have the Pack N Play tent, which we will bring.
Anyway... I just realized that he has technically passed the weight limit on a Pack N Play. I just read that the weight limit is 30 lbs. He is now 32 lbs & is 35.5". We aren't going for another 4 months. We actually did have him sleep in a Pack N Play last weekend on a trip & it worked great, but I didn't realize he was past the weight limit. We're also traveling next weekend & again plan to use a PNP. I imagine there's some "give" on the weight limit they set. It's probably not even a danger situation for him - but rather a risk of harming the PNP?
Have others used the "resort cribs" (which I assume are a Graco Pack N Play) with an older toddler, beyond the official weight limit?
I guess Plan B would be to rent a crib, but that's $$! Sleeping in a bed would be Plan Z!!! (ha)
Thanks!!
