Older Toddlers in Resort Pack N Plays?

Our son is 30 months old & still sleeps in a crib (with a crib tent). We tried a toddler bed this summer for 1.5 months & it was a nightmare... so we plan to stick with the crib & crib tent until age 3 (he loves it, so no problem there). We are going to Disney when he is 34 months old. We do NOT expect to have transitioned to a bed by that point. And we DO want our son to sleep & nap while there, so the crib & tent are necessary!! ;) (Trust me on this one! ha) We do have the Pack N Play tent, which we will bring.

Anyway... I just realized that he has technically passed the weight limit on a Pack N Play. I just read that the weight limit is 30 lbs. He is now 32 lbs & is 35.5". We aren't going for another 4 months. We actually did have him sleep in a Pack N Play last weekend on a trip & it worked great, but I didn't realize he was past the weight limit. We're also traveling next weekend & again plan to use a PNP. I imagine there's some "give" on the weight limit they set. It's probably not even a danger situation for him - but rather a risk of harming the PNP?

Have others used the "resort cribs" (which I assume are a Graco Pack N Play) with an older toddler, beyond the official weight limit?

I guess Plan B would be to rent a crib, but that's $$! Sleeping in a bed would be Plan Z!!! (ha)

Thanks!!

We just returned from Disney World this past week with our almost 3 year old son (he will be 3 tomorrow). He is about 38.5 inches tall and probably weighs 35-40 pounds. He slept in the pack n' play in the room at POFQ with no problem. It is a Graco brand pack n play. He is used to sleeping in them at his grandma's house. We have never had a problem with his weight in them. He also loves his crib and I am just not sure when we will be transitioning him to a bed.

My DD is 27 months old and she is also still in a crib with a crib tent (love those things!). We just got back from a trip and she slept fine in the pack and play. I didn't realize that they had a 30 pound weight limit. She is about 32 pounds and was fine in it.

We went and used the bed rails, but had the pack and play in the room also. Even if it doesnt get used the PnP is still good for keeping the little hands out of things.

How funny! Our DS, who is 27 mos, is also right around 32lbs/36in, and I too just discovered that he's "outgrown" the PnP! I found out the weight limits while shopping for our next baby last week at Babies R Us. Our DS used the PnP at WDW three weeks ago with no problems, and he'll probably continue to use one at his grandparents' house for several more months (at least until the new baby gets here, if not longer). He does use a toddler bed while at home, but doesn't seem to have a problem transitioning back and forth.

I think it might be an issue if he were jumping up and down in it or climbing out of it, but DS has never tried either of those things (we don't even use the tent over it - he's just not very adventurous!), so I'm not worried about the weight limit at this point.

Our ds is 3 this week and we went in August. The pack-n-play I had requested was never delivered, so we had him sleep on the bed with the bed railing. We had sort of decided to do that anyway due to the size of the room. He sleeps in a crib at home (well for most of the night anyway...) and was fine.

I didn't even know they had crib tents...
