We ate at 'Ohana last week and the bread pudding with bananas foster sauce was so delicious that I would love to make it for Christmas dessert, but I can't seem to find the recipe... I should have asked for it before we left the restaurant, but we were to full to think straight.

If anyone has this recipe I would appreciate a copy. I'm going to call the resort today and see what I can do, so if I get it, I'll post it here.

Thanx everyone!

If you haven't called yet, can you get the recipe for the "barbequed" chicken wings. Best sauce ever!!!

The recipe has been posted before, if you do a search of "Ohana chicken wings recipe" it should come up

I tried searching and didn't find it. I have been looking for this recipe since October with no luck. I tried emailing WDW and haven't heard back from them either.

Oh, well. I will be eating that bread pudding on Jan. 8th so I guess I'll have to wait until then to get the recipe. I'll post back when I get it!

I've been trying to get the recipe for the Bread Pudding also but no luck. I'm going back in 3 weeks, so hopefully I will be able to get it them. If I do, I'll post it.

My sister & I are doing the entire O'hana feast for Christmas and have tracked down all the receipes ( I hope). Here is the Bread pudding and the chicken wings.

OHANA BREAD PUDDING
5 eggs
3 cups whole milk
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 1/2 cup sugar
8 cups french or ohana breakfast bread

In bowl mix eggs, milk , salt, sugar and nutmeg. Set aside.
Cut bread in mediam pieces, place on cookie sheet pan put in 350 degree oven.
Bake bread until lightly toasted, about 15min. Remove bread and place in egg and milk mixture.
Place mixture in a greased 10in cake pan and bake at 325 degree for 1hr.
Let stand 5 min , serve hot with ice cream.

BANANA FOSTER SAUCE
4 oz sugar
4 oz brown sugar
4 oz corn syrup
4 oz unsatled butter
1cup heavy cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
1cup spiced rum
1cup banana slices

Combine sugar, brown sugar, corn syrup, butter and half of heavy cream in a large pan. Bring to a boil and slowly add remaining heavy cream keeping mixtue at a steady boil.
Add spiced rum and flambe (I did not have rum and probably would have burned the house down trying to flambe so I skipped this. HEH)
Candy will brown slightly; cook 3 min until candy forms into a firm ball in cold wate.
Remove from heat and add vanilla. Add sliced bananas. Serve warm.

We loved this and the kids did not notice the no rum. If you use the rum please let me know how you do the flambe part.

I tossed it, but when we were down there, they also gave us the recipe for the breakfast bread. It looked too much like work, so we passed. Our waitress had it. There was another couple with us..she might have kept her copy. If you don't get it, repost and I'll ask my friend if she kept hers.

Honey Coriander Chicken Wings
Serves 6 to 8
For wing seasoning
1 tablespoon kosher salt
1 tablespoon ground paprika
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon tumeric
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

5 pounds chicken wings and drumettes
2 to 4 tablespoons vegetable oil

For the coriander wing sauce
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 tablespoon chili powder
1/2 tablespoon fresh lime juice
1/2 tablespoon ground coriander
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

Cover a cookie sheet in foil and set aside
Preheat oven to 500 degrees
Make wing seasoning by placing all ingredients (through cayenne pepper) in small bowl and using a whisk to incorporate
Put the chicken in large bowl. Add enough seasoning to coat chicken evenly and mix well with hands
Spread the seasoned chicken in a single layer on prepared cookie sheet. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until the thickest part of chicken reaches 165 degrees
Meanwhile place all wing sauce ingredients in a large saute pan and bring them to a gentle simmer over medium-low heat. Cook and stir until thickened
Using tongs transfer the cooked wings into the sauce.

GOOD LUCK AND MERRY CHRISTMAS

Have you tried making the bread pudding? Does it taste the same? It doesn't look too hard, so I think I'll give it a try, but I'll have to track down the recipe for the breakfast bread.

Thanks so much for posting these recipes, there's nothing like Ohana food!

Thanks for the recipes. Now to get DW to experiment in the kitchen. :teeth: It would definately be cheaper to make it ourselves than to go eat there all the time.

I have made it and it was not hard at all. I did not use the breakfast bread. I just used a regular loaf of french bread from the grocery store and it came out wonderfully.
