Hi everyone!

What are some off site hotels with shuttle service? That would be less expensive than the value resorts (which are running about 120 per night)? I'm trying to do 9 nights.

Also debating staying off site by renting a room through AirBnB which would be significantly cheaper IF I drive down. I'm under 25, so renting a car is a financial nightmare.

I want to go to Universal at least once and the beach at least once (I can rent a car for a day, but for longer than that, it would be outrageously expensive.)

For Universal, you could always take an Uber there and back.

The best shuttles for offsite hotels would be one of the Disney Springs hotels, but you need transportation to get there from the airport if you fly.

Most off site hotels have pretty bad shuttle service. Most only have a couple of round trips each day. Plus, you'll likely share with other hotels making a long ride.

You'd really have a much more enjoyable vacation staying at a Value. Even if you have to drop a night, you'll be able to do so much more by staying on-site.

We go to US each trip. We grab a cab. (Last year we paid $35 each way plus tip.) The beaches are pretty far (over an hour) since Orlando is in the middle of the state. Maybe just go to a water park instead.

You may be able to find better deals than a Disney Value Resort at the Disney Spring properties on Hotel Plaza Blvd. via Mouse Savers. They are always offering great deals on all the hotels there.

They also all have shuttle services to and from the parks. My recommendations would be; Double Tree Guest Suites, B Resort or Best Western LBV. We have stayed at all of these properties in the last six months and have good experiences at all of them.

Hope this helps!

DrivenByDisney is right. Try Hotel Plaza Blvd and the Hotels at Bonnet Creek.

In 2014 we stayed at Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek. It was about the same price as a value resort, for a much nicer resort. However, be aware of parking and resort fees. Food was pricey as well. As noted, shuttle service @ off-site hotels is not as good. And, they drop you off at TTC for MK.

I would not stay off site without a car. There are no off site hotels that have great shuttles.

Many of the off site hotels mentioned up thread charge resort fees, which you must factor in. You must also factor in the cost to get to and from the air port, as Disney offers free transportation to and from the airport.
