My dd keeps asking me if Nomination bracelets are sold at Disney. She has been wanting one for sometime now and I know would probably spend all her souvenier money on one if she could! Does anyone know if they are available anywhere ? I think it would be a great thing to sell ... all the little links they could make with all the different characters would be so cute !!

Thanks in advance ;) Cindy

bracelet is, I am curious as to what the responses will be to this. I may see one every time I am at WDW and don't even know it has a name!

I guess I should have given a description ... sorry !
They have become very popular here with the young/preteen girls. The bracelet is a stretch type silver link bracelet that you get with your name in it ... each letter is a link. You can add links that have little icons on them to represent things about your likes/personality, ex: ballet shoes, soccer balls, smiles, puppies, kittens, etc. The bracelet reminds me of a stretch watch band... sort of an updated charm bracelet concept.

Hope that helps identify them !

hmmm well then, I haven't seen them, but It's amazing what you don't see when you aren't looking for it!!! Maybe someone else will give you the answer you are hoping for.

I don't know if they are sold there, but there is a site called Italiancharms.com that has some Disney charms on it.
I have thought about buying one of those bracelets, they are so cute.

OH, ok....the name threw me off. You mean the Italian charm bracelets, generally manufactured by Zoppini. They are definitely sold in the parks! You can buy the brand name real ones (only disney charms except at one place) at DTD in the watch/jewelry/villain shop in World of Disney, in the Italy pavilion at Epcot, and at the clock/jewelry part of the Sunset Blvd. shops at MGM. There may be other places, but these are the ones I know. These sell the $30 a piece charms. BUT-the same store in DTD and the Emporium at MK both sell a cheaper version, not made of stainless steel, which will still fit with the normal expensive ones for $3 a piece! A great savings, especially if your DD is using her own money! They have the exact same ones as the expensive versions too (Tink, MM, princesses, etc). If you have any more questions about them, let me know!

Do you mean Italian Charm bracelets? I have one, and on the Dis CB there are a few gals that have them. If this is what you mean, they can help you there.:D

you can buy them on-line, here is a site.

That's it !! Thanks so much !

WDWAurora - can you tell me a little more about the cheaper version as dd will be using her own money. We will need the plain bracelet to start her off with also .. any idea what they cost ? Do you just get blank links to start and add decorated ones to the plain ones (like snap them on) or replace the plain ones with the decorated ones ?

Funny how we know them as a completely different name here in NJ !

Thanks for your help all who responded ... dd is very excited !

The cheaper version looks exactly the same, only they aren't sold in the jewelry case, they hang on the little backings, like some of the other jewelry, if that makes sense. They're on the square of black. They do sell a sort of cheaper version of the starter bracelet, it was either 7 or 9 dollars, and included a "diamond" mickey head charm. You sort of replace the charms on the starter bracelet as you add more. The starter might be too large for her, but the links can be removed, and the instructions are on the back of the card for how to remove links. So yes, you replace them. I hope that makes sense!

I saw the $3 charms at DTD in march, they looked good to me, I think your DD will like them just fine, bought some for my niece. You could buy the starter braclet at Kohl's or meijer before you go I think around 3-4 $$ then you would be ready to add the charms when you get there.

Hi! They sell these braclets at Hallmark Stores for $5.00. I just bought my daughter, her daugher, my mother-in-law, and myself all one with our birthstone link. I am giving them at WDW for a girls nite out to DTD, figuring it would be fun to add Disney links. Links at Hallmark are $3.00. Good luck-Hope she has fun with it!

You guys are great !!! Thanks for all the info ... I think I'll head to Kohl's or Hallmark before we go and pick one up for her. She will have a ball adding the charms during our trip. Maybe I'll pick up a bracelet for Mom, Nana and older dd, too !! :teeth: This looks like alot of fun !!!

If by chance you have a PS at Chef Mickey's while there... the gift shop on the 4th level of the Contemporary Resort has them, also...

This is an interesting thread. I have wondered about these bracelets, they look cool and I would like to get one, but I must confess I don't know much about them. What are the "expensive" versions like? Are they gold? silver? Forgive my stupidity. Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!

The expensive versions are stainless steele, and can have all kinds of things decorating them...often gold. Some are more expensive than others, Disney and other licensed stuff are usually around 30, others hover around 20 or so per charm. And it's not stupidity! I only know because I've been considering buying one for about 8 months and I've looked and asked questions and stuff already. :D

I sawsome really pretty ones at the store in AKL. Alot of little and big girls were buying them. I would imagine all the resort shops would have them. Perhaps they are different at each resort.

WDWAurora, Thank you so much for your reply. I am going to look to buy one on our next trip. They look so cute and I love anything Disney. I think it will be nice to have a Disney charm bracelet. Thanks again.

do they make these in gold as well as stainless steel? I am allergic to anything but gold :( and some of the charms look really cute!!! I have a watch that my Hubby paid WAY too much for that the side that touches my skin is getting corroded (SP?!)
:D

I have found them on Ebay too! If you search for Zoppini or Italian charms you will see tons of them! I have gotten them cheaper than retail on Ebay, and have been very happy. It might be worth a look.;) You can search for disney charms too! Hope that helps.
