Back in the day with only 3 channels on TV the WWD was a treat each week to watch along with Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom, Sonny and Cher Show etc.

There is one WWD movie that I loved as a child-it was about a young girl that was a ghost dressed in a beautiful white and she lived in the attic of a house or loft of a barn and sang Are You Sleeping in French. I know the words just don't know how to spell them. LOL!!!

Does ANYONE remember this movie or the name of it or if you can even buy those old WWD movies on DVD?

That movie and the book Andrew Henry's Meadow were two of my favorite things as a child, I found the book on Ebay, but I don't even know the name of this movie. Now, I am much older than some of you but surely someone on this Disney board can help a poor girl out. This has drove me nuts for years.

Was it Child of Glass? The little girl ghost was french and it took place on a southern plantation I think.....

Child of Glass? I loved that one! it has been a looooong time since I last saw it though. Wasn't there money or treasure hidden inside her glass doll?

There are used VHS tapes of this movie for sale on amazon.com.

I remember the movie, thanks for reminding me of it, I didn't realize it was a WWD movie.:thumbsup2

I looked on IMDB, which person listed played the little girl ghost?

Looks like it was Olivia Barash.

Wow, I am excited and it seems I was posting at the same time it was noted that it could be bought on Amazon. It is $33.50. That book I bought was expensive too. Now it is in reprint.

So many memories....I thought it was 1976 or before though.

Do any of these movies run again now? I can only remember seeing it once. Isn't it amazing how you remember things. Reading the synopsis made me remember more about it.

Sammy, how did you know the answer so quick??

Does anyone else wish they would give us a bit of a break from this tweener stuff and have a 'Big Kid' Disney Channel? Anyone remember 'Vault Disney' from the late 90's? I would stay up half of the night watching the old Disney movies, MMC, etc. Gosh, I miss that!!!

Child of Glass was my favorite movie! Her voice was so eerie, I can still hear it.

Ok, I know I'm not Sammy ;) , but this movie's stuck with me all these years. I even remembered the name. It's a bit creepy that you posted this thread because I was just thinking of this movie a few days ago and wondering why they don't play the old Wonderful World of Disney movies anymore.

Even if the Disney Channel would have Classic movie night once a week, that would be great. I loved watching the Wonderful World of Disney when I was a kid.

I totally agree. Direct TV has two Disney channels full of tween programs as well as a Toon Disney. Where is the grown up stuff? I also wish they would replay the old "WDW Inside Out" episodes with George Foreman. They were awesome!

I thought I'd give youtube a shot. It's on there!:cool1:

It's in 11 parts but they are all there. I know what I'm doing one night this week. I'm going to wait to watch it so DD can watch it too.

 I just watched some of the movie, and I don't think her voice is as eerie as a thought it was as a kid. Still a good movie though, thanks for the link

I wish they would bring those movies back, too. I don't remember the one you guys are talking about, but two of them stand out in my mind

Pablo & the Dancing Chihuahua

and the legend about the Native Indian boy who was teased by the other boys in his tribe in the Southwest, and he 'befriends' an eagle. He jumps from the eagle's nest himself and turns into an eagle.

Those stories have stayed with me all these years (late 60's maybe?)

You're not the only one!

I used to watch Vault Disney on the west coast satellite feed. I loved Vault Disney! Besides Child of Glass I remembered watching The Mystery of Dracula's Castle another classic episode of WWoD.

Disney has so many channels (Disney Channel, ABC Family, Toon Disney, LIfetime) couldn't they spare one evening (even from 11pm - 6 am) where they could reinstate Vault Disney? Even if we didn't stay up and watch it, we could DVR it for later viewing!

::yes:: Why do they need TWO channels playing 'Zack and Cody' and 'That's So Raven' at 3am???? :headache:
