MS filled my waitlist then cancelled a similar waitlist for a different time.

But I’m ok with it. I had Riviera booked for a couple nights Easter week then again in July. For each I waitlisted the Poly Tower. The Easter week one was just filed yay! I noticed the one for July isn’t there anymore. The waitlist I mean.

It’s great as I intended to cancel one waitlist if one was filled so we stay at riviera for one of them. But was wondering if that’s normal. Honestly just curious.

I do not believe that this is normal but maybe @Sandisw can weigh in. I have only ever heard of MS cancelling a waitlist when it's for the same dates. For example, if you had 2 waitlists set for your Easter reservation, I would have expected that if 1 of the waitlist filled the other would be cancelled. I would not expect them to cancel your 2nd waitlist since it was an entirely different set of dates.

No, not normal. Since the waitlists were for separate visits, they should not have cancelled the later one. What if you wanted to be at Poly for both visits? Glad it worked out for you, but if you wanted to stay at Poly both times then it would have affected your place in line in the waitlist.

Definitely not normal to have a waitlist for diffeeenr dates canceled. Did you contact them to make sure it didn’t fill and they removed but it’s in the Que to be processed?

If you don’t want it anymore, I’d confirm that.

I emailed MS to make sure it hadn’t filled like Sandisw suggested. The response didn’t really explain what occurred but verified it did not fill and is no longer active.
