Is this possible? Our historic town center has something called the Oaks Ames Memorial Hall where they host weddings, farmer's markets, fall craft fairs as well. Basically its a overall great open space for the DIS team to have a meet! I think this is worth considering as it's quite close to Boston and just so happens to be my town of residency :rolleyes1

    Hoping to make it happen!!

There's a group of good folks that stage the NE DIS meet every year. @Bornteach is one of them as is @TSWJan78, and several folks that I can't recall their board names.

Thanks for your interest in the New England DIS Meet. These events are planned by a group of people who then work with the podcast team in regards to them coming up. We try and pick various locations to make it a full destination weekend event. We are just beginning to talk about 2017 and if we will have a large event as these take a year of planning. We have not chosen our destination but if the Boston area is where we decide to go we will be in touch for more information. Thank you so much for the lead, we're always looking for new and inexpensive spaces. Feel free to email NEDismeet@gmail.com with suggestions for our large event. You're also welcome to try and gather up a group of local enthusiasts to get together, that's how we started.

Thank you! I'll currently give you more info soon as to how to book the memorial hall. Perhaps I can even do it for you guys so all that is needed from you is to show up! It's a great space and it's located in the heart of historic North Easton village. I think lots of people wouldn't object either as seen in earlier responses to my thread! Thanks again for getting back to me. How long until you find out when you are choosing a dstination for New England?

Zach We would love for you to help with the preparations! It typically takes a year to plan and there are about 20 of us on the committee. We will let you know when we begin.

Easton is worth it, its centrally located and has a beautiful hall for the meet. Look up Oak Ames Memorial Hall. It's like Hogwarts mixed with the Chinese Theatre.

Does anyone know where the 2017-2018 info will be posted? The NE DisMeet Twitter and Facebook pages seem to have gone stale.

I'd be interested in the NE DISMeet as well. I travel a lot for business, but stop by the house to change suitcases every once-in-a-while :groom:

We missed the NJ meet last spring so this would still be close enough for us.
