Hi,
The last time I was at DL to ride the matterhorn I didn't realize that there are 2 separate lines to get into the ride.
I thought both lines will eventually merge.
Soooo... now that I know that. Is there a specific one that is always shorter?
Or are both pretty much the same usually.
I just can't believe they don't do a FP on that ride. It's one of the coolest ride IMO... :)

Thanks so much!

well, the rides are different, so it more depends on which track you like....we like the TL side best. As a bonus I do think it is usually shorter too.

I believe the majority of people approach the Matterhorn from the Fantasyland side, so the line on the Tomorrowland side is usually a little shorter. Once the Nemo Subs open, however, I expect more people will be using the Tomorrowland side.

After riding the two tracks back-to-back, I much prefer the track on the Tomorrowland side. It definitely felt faster and a bit smoother than the Fantasyland side.

Oh my!
It's awesome! Thank you for posting that.
I didn't know they're 2 different rides!
I guess that just means we have to do it twice :)

The best advice to ride both sides :thumbsup2

I agree with LittleWoodenHead; the FL is generally longer, sometimes significantly longer, especially in the mornings. People coming from the hub tend to hit this side. During parades, this side will often be shutdown, so the FL side may be shorter right after a parade when it is reopened.

Perhaps I'm lame, but I've ridden both sides dozens and dozens of times, and frankly, I just don't find them all that much different. But I do agree, you should ride both sides.

Matterhorn is one of my favorite park rides ever. I really missed seeing it when we went to WDW MK. I kept teasing my ds, "where is the matterhorn?" "mom it is 3000 miles away, lol"

I can't wait for our next trip to DL. I'm hoping this fall! Maybe stay at Grand Californian!!!

If possible you may want to ride Matterhorn back to back during EE otherwise the lines can be long. We did this after SM and enjoyed it very much.

Is it just me or does it seem like the FL side goes faster (in the video)
