Again, we were served packaged breadsticks...

but they added real bread too.

On my way to the restroom, I saw the cook shredding carrots for my salad



By 1:30, we were back at St. Mark's!

My sister's kids collect Hard Rock shirts, so my sister stopped to get some while I went next door for gelato.

Chicken nuggets on a skewer...


Then we headed back for a siesta.

Back on my window sill, I watched the clouds roll in.


My sister did laundry and lived like a European as we didn't have a dryer.


We were back in St. Mark's Square by 5:00 to enjoy the band and get snacks that cost more than our breakfast and lunch combined.


And, I learned I like olives...
It was nice sitting in the square, people watching while enjoying the music, but we were getting hungry and didn't want to miss dinner time again so found a cute restaurant that only served wine by the bottle..

with more packaged breadsticks. By now, I was just saving these to take home as souvenirs..

Since I like olives now, I had an olive salad that was amazing!

and another complimentary limoncello.


We were exhausted and hadn't gotten any details on the transfer I booked to the airport so headed back to pack our overweight bags and find a ride.

I miss this view!




I left my window open for awhile, but it was so noisy with the boats!


I couldn't reach the taxi service I booked, chatted with the Get Your Guide, but they couldn't help since the place was already closed. Luckily there was a flyer for a service in our AirBnB so I booked a different service for pick up 4 hours before our flight, which was necessary..

I grabbed a coffee from the hotel across the street

found my sister a coke, and made it back to our taxi 5 minutes before pick up time.
It was an amazing trip to the airport on the highways in the water!





We made it ot the airport by 8:50 for our noon flight...

We repacked our bags to get them underweight,

found some food and waited patiently.


Then checked our bags in, with the rep not caring at all about overweight bags...
We were on our way home. Until next time, Italy...

What a great report! Looks like y'all had so much fun. What a lovely thing to do with your sister. Mine hates cruising... so I'll have to stick with my husband. (Thankfully, he loves it!) I keep telling her that she's not any fun.
I love Florian's it is my favorite cafe on San Marco. I feel like they have the best musicians. Definitely missing Italy! Ciao!
