Magic Band+ Problem

The last time I used my Band was in December 2022. I have charged it a few times since then, including a couple of months ago. I am going to WDW in a couple of weeks, so I decided to charge it again.
Well, when I put it in the cradle, it lights up green for a second. But then nothing. I tried to turn it on, off--sometimes I get one green segment, sometimes I get one red segment.
I tried to link it to my phone via the MDE app, and nothing happened.
I had it in the charging cradle for a couple of hours, same thing. It's back in the cradle now, and as just before, no lights.
Any advice? Thanks!

How do you turn it off?

I think it is fine. My husband’s does that sometimes when charging. Make sure it is positioned correctly.

All your magicbands are linked to your MDE.

There is a list and you can see them and deactivate them if they are lost.

Good luck!

I had to do this to mine once:
https://disneyland.disney.go.com/guest-services/magicband-support/

If your MagicBand+ still isn't working, you can then try the following: Factory Reset: Reset your band with a single press of the button, quickly followed by a second press that you hold for 15 seconds. After 3 haptic buzzes, your MagicBand+ will glow with rainbow colors.
Wow, thanks. Valuable information. I'm going to put it in the Magic Band+ box for future reference.

Actually, I never thought of turning it off or that it could be turned off!
It is in the charging cradle, and finally the bottom 2 lights are flashing green, so I assume it's charging.
It is linked to my MDE, but not for the Bluetooth mode. And the phone isn't detecting it in "tap" mode, which I figure should work even with a dead battery.

In your original post, you said you turned it off and back on. That is why I asked.

Since the lights are green, it should be fine. Maybe try calling technical support. Good luck.

I was using a sort of shorthand when I wrote I turned it on and off; I really just meant I pressed the button on the back. I had no thought that it could be turned off. How does one know when it is on or off?
But it did eventually charge.
