In a few weeks we're going on a road trip, and we'll visit several national parks in the western US. The first we'll visit is Zion, and I have some questions about how things'll work there:
Because this is going to be our FIRST stop, we plan to buy an America the Beautiful pass (one year's entry into all the national parks) at the gate. We'll be leaving our car and using she shuttle bus -- we won't have any trouble buying a pass, will we?
I'd like to hear about the shuttle system from someone who's actually used it. Is it efficient? Crowded in early July?
Zion seems to have so many activities! What're the "cannot miss" items? We'll be entering through the Main Gate in the southern portion of the park, and we likely will not venture up towards the northern portion.
