Do I need to book multi pass before I book any premier passes? Will one sell out before the other? I plan on using premier pass for Epcot only since we must ride all the rides in that park and I don’t wanna risk missing a ride. Thanks!

As long as you purchase when it’s first available I don’t see you having any trouble at all. I believe you can book 7 days out if on property.

It will depend on when you visit since the most popular attractions will often be out of LLMP return times well before the LLMP and/or LLSP passes will sell out at any park. Epcot only has 1 LLSP available - Guardians of the Galaxy, and it will sell out first.

We only have 2 holiday periods to use as a reference at this point. Only Thanksgiving week (11/24 - 11/26), and Christmas week through Jan. 3rd have had any sellout days for Epcot LLPP and only Dec. 31st has sold out 8 days before on Dec. 23rd.

We are able to purchase our LLMP 7 days out also LLSP. I know if we decide to upgrade to Premier we can pay the difference.

My question is, we won't really know the crowds and need of a premier until we get there and see the crowds. I know premier is not refundable, so it is recommended to just get the LLMP 7 days out and wait until we get there to see if we need premier. Or should get the premiere for days we want at the 7 day point.
Finally if we purchase LLMP and LLSP 7 days out, does that total cost go toward the premiere cost?

Is it worth it to get a premier for a partial day?

Thanks so much! I know this was a lot of questions!

No they are 2 different products. You don't buy LLMP and/or LLSP and upgrade to LLPP. You can't pay the difference. But you can purchase both to get more than 1 ride that is included in the LLPP.

None of the 3 (LLMP, LLSP, LLPP) products are officially refundable. It really depends on when your visit is as to the timing of your LLPP purchase. So far they have only sold out around Thanksgiving day and around Christmas day though New Years+4 days.

MK and HS have sold out the most Epcot only couple of days and AK 6 days.

How do you define a partial day since using a LLPP fully still normally takes about 4-6 hours if you want to hit all or a majority off LL attractions.

Dave,
I thought I read that if you purchased a LLMP and decided you wanted the LLPP before the day starts, you can upgrade and pay the difference.

Partial day would be either rope drop to about noon or OR early afternoon to closing .

I don’t believe this is the case but let’s find out.

Has anyone purchased LLMP but then prior to your date arriving, upgraded/tried to upgrade LLMP to LLPP? Were you able to apply the original LLMP payment towards the cost of changing to LLPP?

We have had some to report holding LLPP, LLMP and LLSP the same day.

I am not claiming that you may have read that but it is not Disney's policy so don't expect it to happen. If you look at both LLMP and LLPP they are nonrefundable and nontransferable.

For MK even with 30 minutes of Early entry you would really be pushing it to ride the 20 LLPP or a majority of attractions by 12 or 12:30. It would be more like 2 PM if you allow for breaks, and food. The 4 -6 hours is just riding the attractions back to back.

You would be better served to purchase a LLPP, enter the park at 9 - 10 AM take a break and then finish after 3 PM.

Hi everyone! DH and I are heading to WL in May. I haven't been to Disney in May for years! We are able to get Premier Pass, but would like opinions about how busy the parks are in mid May. I like the idea of a relaxing time in the park, especially MK. I don't remember May being a busy time all those years ago, but of course have no clue how it is now. (so maybe Multi pass?) I am thinking LL in AK, but Premier at MK. Thoughts? TIA!

We usually go on Memorial Day week and are fairly new to Disney Parks so don't have much reference, but it seems busy to us. We have been able to get by with LL. Only place I'd see it valuable is in MK but we didn't even get LL there last year and were satisfied.

As @patm95 indicated just like any month when there is national holiday there are busy periods. If you will be in the parks around the Memorial day weekend, it will be busy. Also Mother's day weekend tends to have a busy few days. My personal view is that LLMP is very helpful for MK and HS but not required for Epcot or AK.

Thank you! We will be there May 12th thru the 18th. Another question! Do you take advantage of Extended hours in MK and Epcot? And what do you do between 9 and 11 p.m. if you do? What a wealth of knowledge you are, Dave! Thank you! We are at WL and certainly will take advantage of those!

I bought the LLMP for myself and 2 "adult" children for yesterday at MK. I paid $29 for each of us. We are staying on property and I bought them around 6 days beforehand. The earliest I could get was 12:50pm for POC and then got tiana's and HM for my other 2 picks. As soon as we went onto POC, I booked another LL but the hard ones to get were gone. We could never get Peter pan, Winnie or jungle cruise. We wanted Buzz Lightyear also but the time was late (after 6pm) when I tried to book and we had dinner reservations. We only used the LLMP for POC, HM, Tiana, Small world, Mermaids and my daughter did Space mountain once. The ride waits were still pretty high for many rides, so we had to wait in long lines even though I spent almost an extra $100. It was a Tuesday and the MK was not super crowded but the waits are always long. I think disney has to start building some new rides for these parks. It cost us $600 in tickets for yesterday and it just doesn't seem worth it for what we got to ride. We have been going to disney for 20 years and sadly I feel like the value/experience isn't half of what it used to be.

They have announced they are. Phew!

I do agree that the new LLMP is not as useful to us as the previous Genie+LL pass. I was able to ride more rides via LL with the Genie+ version. Because of this, I am considering getting LLPP for our MK day in March.

I have also read accounts of people holding LLPP, LLMP, and LLSP on the same day to maximize rides and decrease wait times. I have not heard of anyone being able to upgrade MP to PP. I have no firsthand experience of attempting this upgrade, and am curious to know as well.

Thanks for this post. I think that DH and I will do the Premier Pass for MK when we go in May. We are already splurging for this trip and most likely will not do quite such a $$$ trip again, so we'll go for it. We have another family trip (8 of us total) in September at Pop that is budget friendly, lol. How long was your average wait time for those long waits?

Yes typically MK EEH are on Wednesday and Epcot are normally on Monday. Yes it is always fun and it is nice to not be in the hot sun. On these days we tend to take a longer break from the park after lunch and then are able to have extra energy to stay late to enjoy EEH.

Note that you can't use your LLMP and/or LLSP or even LLPP for EEH.

Crowds are lower since it it only open for Deluxe & DVC resort guests. It tends to be busy right at switch over as the day guests are in the Standby Queue for one more ride. We tend to skip the fireworks on those evenings and hit our favorite rides while everyone is still watching the Fireworks.

During the 3pm parade, ride times went way down, 15 minutes POC, 20 min. HM. Peter pan stayed around and hour all day. Small World was 25-30 mins throughout the day, winnie 40 mins. approx, mermaid-35-40 min. Jungle cruise, 30 minutes. The waits weren't horrendous but up to almost an hour. I just felt that by buying LLMP we would be able to get entry even if it was later in the day but they just "sold out" and you could not even get them. If I am paying extra, I don't think that it should be that way.
