O.K., so I got a call last night that we are in charge of the games for my son's (rowdy) Kindergarten class for the holiday party. We are already doing my daughters preschool one and we are doing Christmas Tree bingo , I had already printed them out and laminated the tree's and but there are only 10 since that is all who is in her class, my son has 19 students in his.
ANY ideas on inexpensive, fun games that don't need a ton of space to be played in that kindergarteners would find fun and keep a lot of rowdy ones entertained??
Any help would be GREAT.

Yesterday in my DD's Kindergarten class we played "pass the snowball". Just like hot potato but use a styrofoam ball and play Christmas music. As each kid gets out, they get a candy cane.

You could also try "pin the nose on Rudolph"

Suggestion if the class is rowdy. Much more manageable to have centers and work with smaller numbers of kids. Allow 5-10 minutes at each center and then they move to the next one.

Here's a few I like:

(Not a "holiday" game, but fun just the same.) Guess that sound. Have the children face the opposite direction from you. I've run the water, shut the door, cut paper with scissors, slid a chair towards the table. It's funny some everyday noises are very familiar but sometimes hard to place. The kids love playing that game.

Guess the voice. Record the children speaking. Write down the order of speakers. (Maybe have them sing portions of a Christmas song.) Re-play the tape and have the children guess their classmates voice. Lots of fun.

Guessing box. Place items in a decorated box. I've used Christmas wrap. Cut a hole large enough for a little hand to get into the box. Have a bag of items separate and to the side. Put one item in the box at a time (unseen by little eyes) I've used pine cones, a ornament, small wrapped gift, etc.. But it doesn't have to have a holiday theme. The children put their hand in the box, feel the contents, describe it and guess what's inside. This is a fun game too.

HTH! :)

You'd be amazed at how popular "pass the snowball" is. When we had centers, that was the most popular.

Some more...

spoons races carrying mini marshmallows (snowballs)

cut out winter designs in paper, put in bowl, have races using a straw to hold the papers and walk fast and drop in another bowl

musical chairs or put cut-outs on the floor to land on when the music stops

I was just researching this for my son's kindergarten class. The ones we decided on are as follows. Snowball fight - we are using puffy white cotton balls and throwing them into a bucket (could also use styrofoam balls). Ice skating freeze- I have used this one for a gross motor activity for non parties and helps to get the wiggles out. You buy small white paper plates and each child gets 2. You place some music and the kids skate around on their skates...when the music stops they have to freeze. Snowblower - this last one I found on familyfun.com. You take toilet paper tubes with a cup and pingpong ball. You tape the 2 cups so it hangs off the table and can have 2 races at once. Then, 2 children get their paper holders and pingpong ball and blow through the tube to move the pingpong. I might try it with cotton balls or styrofoam. I just see pingpong flying all over the room. Good luck and have fun!

Paint a snowman on posterboard and have the kids try to pin the carrot on frosty ala the whole donkey thing. Just put a piece of tape on the back of the paper carrots.

I know you said you are doing bingo, But I just printed bingo cards for my daughters class. The site generated new cards and calling cards for me very simple. Just do google search for free bingo cards. YOu do not have to laminate them. My daughter is in Kindergarden too and is so excited to play bingo with M&M's just a thought. It only took me 15 min to print cut out and place on construction paper!

With first graders I always used centers as well. Divide the class into 3 or 4 groups with one parent running each game. Clothes pin drop, pin the nose, bingo, and maybe a super easy art project or cookie decorating station.

Musical chairs would be fun. I am sure you could make it into a christmas theme. Maybe use christmas trees to stand on instead of chairs and play christmas music.

My DD class loved this game. Decorate the Christmas tree. They were split in 2 teams with one child on each team as the tree. Each team got a box of Christmas decorations that had the same items in each box. (We use 1 string of christmas lights, garland, a bag of bows, candycanes, and nonbreakable orniments. Most of the stuff you can find at the dollar store. The first team to decorated the "tree" with all of the decorations without any falling off or touching the ground wins. My DD was the tree and she laughed so much the decorations keep falling off. They had a blast.

WHAT A CUTE IDEA, thanks for the visual picture too. Now if I can just find enough Christmas decorations to pull this off. I love it!!!

I also love the pass the snow ball game someone shared and the snow ball fight, thanks for all of the great ideas!!!
