Mine was just this week,
I got a thank you card from my Brother and SIL and my nephew.

My Nephew has always been one fo my favourite people in the world. He is just so cool! :)

He turns 14 this year so a lot kids his age dont have time to hang out with their Aunts of all people! :)

Not My Chris! :)

His note starts with Auntie Robin, I love you so much! I want to thank you for the Christmas gift it really means a lot to me ( I gave him $15. lol) I am saving it to buy some more stuff for my skateboard. I really love you and I miss you so much I cant wait to see you guys!!"

It went on and on asking how the kids were doing and how he cant wait to play with them ( he just adores all 3 of them even though theyre so much younger than he is)

It just makes me want to cry :)

He is such a good kid and is going to make some young lady a very happy wife in a few ( several I hope ;) ) years.

So what is the nicest Thank you card youve received?

Well, this is a little more on the funny side. I have it right here...we enjoyed it so much, we kept it.

We have over the years purchased a side of beef from DH's friend, who has a small farm in town. We didn't know the last one belonged to his son, Brandon, about 10. Here's the note:

Dear Mr. and Mrs. XXXXXXXXXXX

Thank you for buying my 4-H beef project. It was very nice of you. I'm very happy that you bought him. I put a lot of effort into him. I will never forget the love he gave me (Mare... ) and the experience I gained.

Thanks again, sincerely, Brandon

We thought about Brandon and his love for his "project" every time we ate a steak!

Mine was from the family of a little boy I cared for from the age of 6 months until he went to school at 4 1/2 years when I worked in full time day care.
It had such a poignant message written in it that it made me cry. A year after he went to school I looked after his sister for a year. I still see the family now, 2 years on.

Ihave a whole box of cards..at least a dozen from people all over the world.. I will have to find the box, and write it down. ... I have some wonderful ones.

When I am feeling down, that is the first place I go!

I worked at a fast food restaurant about 20 yrs ago and there was an elderly widow I befriended. All the other workers talked about her and made fun of her. She always carried several bags around, drank from coffee creamers, never bought herself a lunch, looked very poor, and always walked to and from work. I felt sorry for her so I always offered her rides ( she never went home after work ), I'd just drop her off at the main street. I was about 20 or so, drove a Trans Am like the Knight Rider one, and everyone would ask me why I'd even let her sit in my car. Anyway, Christmas came and she gave me a gift. It was a comb in a crushed box. But, she also gave me the most beautiful card thanking me for coming into her life. She wrote a beautiful note about how she thanked God for having me as a friend and how she always prayed for me. I was so touched. She passed away last year, but I never forgot what she TAUGHT me. I always look at what people are, not what they have. Rest in peace, Vita!!:sunny:

Patio -- that is so sweet -- God bless you.

I just got a bunch of thank-yous from my DD's 3rd grade class about making gingerbread houses with them. I've been doing it for years, some of them said - they always hope they are in my DD's class so they can make the houses and how much fun they have. They were really cute.

The nicest thank you card I have ever received was from a neighbor/friend. First of all, let me say that the person that sent it has difficulty appearing vulnerable and letting her guard them. I really like her though and we are good friends.

Last January, I went to my mail box to get the day's mail. Along with the other letters/junk was a thank you card from this friend/neighbor. She wasn't thanking me for giving her a gift, she thanked me for being her friend and how she valued my friendship. It was so unexpected, I was speechless!!!!! It just made my day and I kept the card!
:D :D

I once got a really nice thank you from a neighbor. Her son played football for the Naval Academy and I organized a bus trip for all the neighbors and kids, too. She thanked me for keeping our block together and fostering a sense of neighborliness. I was really surprised. mostly because my motivation for getting the trip going was that I really love a party and that college football tailgating scene is a real blast. Especially at Annapolis!! The rest was just happy coincidence!!

I also get really cute thank you notes from Girl Scout troops that I go camping with. One of them thanked me for helping them in "their time of great need"!!!

From my son....

On his birthday we had just returned from Orlando and I was BROKE. He received some money from a good friend for his birthday and he told me he wanted to buy some groceries with it!

He told me that he wanted to provide for me the way I provide for him.

That was the nicest thank you I could imagine.... :) appreciation for a job I work the hardest on, being a single Mom!
