I just got my daycare liscence. I now have to give her a copy of my curriculum. Does anyone know where I can get a curriculum and I can just add my own touches? Thank you.:confused3

Hi from a fellow home daycare provider! I don't know the exact web addresses of these curriculums, but you can probablly google them:

Funshine Express
Carol's Affordable Curriculum
Mother Goose Curriculum

There are also several online sites where you can get ideas for activities and crafts, etc. to make your own curriculum:

Just curious. . . is having a curriculum a requirement of being licensed in your state?

I agree with the above post. I did not lilke Carol's curriculum, I felt it was a bit cheap, but I love both funshine express and also Mother Goose time. Both will let you order a viewing kit (I think about $20 to see what you get). I currently use Mother Goose time in my daycare.

There's a book out there called "Slow and Steady, Get Me Ready" that has developmental activities for ages 0-3. As a homeschooler I like to give it to parents as a baby gift.

I currently work in a daycare that offers a preschool program. We use both mother goose and funshine express. Both are good but I like Funshine Express a bit better.

Thank you all for your help. I have three kids. I have always read to them. I have taught them math and reading well above their age levels but I didn't know that when I did daycare I had to have a curriculum. I was just going to teach them the way I taught my kids. It seemed to work. I make it fun and they learn at the same time. I think that different things work for different kids. Thank you.

I am a licensed provider in Ma and my licensor just wanted to see basic curriculum. I went through the regs and outlined what I do to foster each one. For example...

Learning self-help skills that foster independence.
I teach babies how to eat using correct utensils.
Children practice and learn to put on their own coats and shoes.
Children learn proper toileting procedures.
Children learn correct hand washing.

Try the Creative Curriculum It is very popular in the Chicagoland area.
