In N Out burger by John Wayne airport or DL?

I tried to post this earlier but I think the board ate my post!

We're flying into Orange County and since we land around lunchtime, thought we'd have the taxi stop by In N Out on our way to Embassy Suites Garden Grove. Since I'm not familiar with In N Out locations, would it be easier to stop by one close to the airport or closer to the hotel? Is there an In and Out close to Embassy Suites?

I'd stop at the closest one to the hotel, the food will be hotter for you. You can check out their web site to find the one you want to go to, just plug in the address of the hotel and it'll give you a list of at least a few.

Although In-N-Out isn't like a regular fast food place. They make the food after you order, so you'll have to wait for it. It's usually a reasonable amount of time, but if it is lunch time, the place will most likely be packed, and take a little longer. Just wanted to let you know that, because it's not like running in quickly to McD's for a burger and jumping back in the car. Of course you can go through the drive thru too, but they're still making it when you order (for real, not just taking the burger from the warmer and assembling your sandwich). On the upside, the menu is simple and picking what you want will be easy!

I recommend to people coming from Long Beach to use the Garden Grove stand.

From your hotel. Coming from John Wayne you would take the 22 west to Magnolia.

Head south on S Harbor Blvd toward Chapman Ave 1.1 mi
Continue straight onto Harbor Blvd 0.2 mi
Slight left to stay on Harbor Blvd 0.3 mi
Take the ramp onto CA-22 W 2.7 mi
Take exit 9 toward Magnolia St 0.2 mi
Turn left at Trask Ave (signs for Westminster/Trask Ave/Magnolia St) 0.1 mi

Garden Grove, CA 92844

Take the 5 north to Ball Road west to Brookhurst then north.
You can also take Harbor, Disneyland Drive or Walnut north to Ball then east to Brookhurst. It is about 3.3 miles from Disneyland at Katella.

none of them are in walking distance. check the restaurant site or google. The directions to the Garden Grove one is posted. I would say The one on Brookhurst is closest.
