Ikea, tullsta?

Only Ikea things in this house are the baby bath tub and some plastic dishes my mother bought for us. We had some silverware from there but it all pitted and rusted. We are not big Ikea fans my sister however loves the stuff.

I love Ikea stuff! Funny but I even have their Dragon flatware and it has held up real well over the years.

That chair is nice. :)

I Don't have the chair, but we do have tons of other ikea stuff. We have 2 beds, one of which I've had since I was 19 (I'm now 24, and it has gone through 2 moves), we have a coffee table, 2 tv stands, a desk, and 6 dining chairs. All of them except 1 bed we've had for almost 3 years, and all have held up very well. The only thing I'd owrry about the chair is that it's white and might get dirty easy. Maybe you can make a slip cover.

tricia.

My aunt has two of them in her living room, she bought them 5 years ago or so and they've held up just fine! The only problem has been the colors fading (they're green and blue) but she's left them in front of the windows in direct sunlight so it's not a huge shock.

Don't have that chair, but have other IKEA furniture and it has held up well... and for hte price and look, it cant be beat!

Vern used that chair on Trading Spaces once :)

Yah, the white had be a little concerned. But I can't see myself sitting on it all that often, it's more of a decorative piece. I believe Ikea sells slipcovers, I'll have to look into that.
Vern used them, really? Missed that show, well they must be good ;)

I have two of those chairs and I love them. Plus, if they can withstand the abuse of my guy friends who still haven't realized that they're chairs, not playground equipment or blocking sleds, I think they can handle just about anything.

Yep - he painted a red stripe down the middle of them and onto the cushion.

I can't wait until our Ikea opens here in Minnesota, I've never been and am excited to check it out!

We have 2 of them in our living room with the red wool slipcovers. One has held up very nicely, but the other has a shaky leg, but that was due to a very overweight family member sitting in them and scooting forward a couple of times....and I mean VERY overweight. DH and I are not skinny and they are fine for us :)

FYI...they're cheaper in the store!! I got my chairs (albeit 2 years ago) for $99 each, but the wool slipcovers were $80 each (and are dry clean only  ). The cotton slipcovers run about $30 I think, and they come out with new colors each season!

Cute chair, good for occasional to regular use....even my kids who think they are jungle gyms don't hurt them

You guys are awesome, thank-you so much! I think the reason they're cheaper in stores is because the $149 is in Canadian dollars :) I wish we had an ikea here too, though it's rumored we might be getting one :D
