IBTR stands for “In Before The Refurb”.
I’m happy that all the rooms are getting refurbished and upgraded and look forward to staying there. But we have a lot of memories in the old style rooms, so we’ll also miss them. The last 11 years we had multiple vacations at SSR, and saw our kids grow up over the years. Our baby the first time at SSR is now 13. Our oldest who was 14 at the time, is 25. We had a memorable Thanksgiving and a Christmas at SSR.
So to that end, my wife at I made one last trip this February to stay in the old rooms. We got a 1 bedroom at the Grandstand and spent Valentine’s day weekend there. We took one last look at the old décor and, our last day IBTR was Feb 16.
