I Wonder if Disney Will Get Mad if We Disassemble the Furniture. Sept/Oct 2024 TR! (Updated 11/3 x2!)

Day 2, Part 3: Time for a Photoshoot!

We last left off heading into the Magic Kingdom!

We quickly made it in, and headed onto Main Street to get some photopass pictures.

We stopped at a bunch of the photographers while making our way up Main Street.

After a few pictures we decided to pop into the Emporium to do some shopping. I love shopping early in the morning, the store was pretty much empty so we could actually browse at our leisure.

We browsed a while and in the end I got that sweater I wanted, and mom bought me the puzzle I liked for Christmas.

I do really wish they would bring back the ship to resort, it was a pain carrying that puzzle around all morning!

After our shopping trip we took some more pictures by the castle while waiting for early entry to start.

Purchases in hand it was getting close to early entry time, so we headed towards the scan in point and then onto the Tomorrowland bridge.

Next up: Ride Time!

I miss package delivery so much! So many things that made Disney extra special gone. Don't get me wrong, still love the place but can't help but be sad thinking about that, Magical Express, airline check-in, Tables in Wonderland, the old Food & Wine etc. Ok. I'm done grumbling, LOL.

Browse on the way in - buy on the way out. This way you don't have to carry packages. But gosh, I also miss that resort package delivery. And front gate delivery. I would certainly buy more if those options came back. Disney - are you listening?? Folx would spend more money if your brought these options back.

There, you know the mention of money got the VP's ears up. Now it will come back. :rotfl2:

I also miss the resort package delivery. I would be more tempted to buy things if I could send it back to the resort. I may browse early but if I go back later and it is super busy, I often just skip buying something.

How annoying about the beds! I am glad you were at least able to figure out what the problem is! So odd about the old dried up blood. I was under the impression that if there was blood on sheets/towels they had to dispose of them, that is why they are white so you can see it. Maybe I made that up in my head.

Yessssss! I soooo miss package pickup! Although, it does keep me from over spending so blessing in disguise I guess. One of the benefits of having my stroller is I don't have to carry stuff!

Me too! Also really miss the airline check-in/luggage drop-off and of course the Food and Wine special events. At some point I hope they realize they got rid of too much that made them special and will bring back some of this stuff!

You would think it would be that simple, but usually we're too hot/tired on the way out, and the store is typically a madhouse at that point so we don't want to bother.

I can actually see them bringing the delivery back but with an additional fee. That seems like something out of their playbook lately!

This exactly! We like to shop in the morning when the stores are empty. Usually by the time we leave the stores are packed so we have zero desire to go in, even just to purchase something we saw earlier!

Yeah, that bed set-up was weird! I have no idea about the blood, like it wasn't a ton of blood so maybe they didn't notice it? Definitely weird!

Yeah, the package delivery is one of the things I miss the most. Although I realized another benefit to it being gone: if you buy wine in Epcot you can take it with you and don't have to wait for them to delivery to the entrance! Although I'd give that up for them to just bring stuff to our hotel again!

Day 3, Part 4: Ride Time!

We last left off heading to the Tomorrowland bridge to wait for early entry to start.

This morning they opening right at 8:30, and we did what seems to have become our favorite rope drop ride….Buzz!

It was, of course, a walk on.

I only got like 800,000 points on this ride, I was clearly a bit rusty!

Since that score wouldn’t do, we rode again (still walk-on), and this time I got galactic hero!

(HA! That poor alien in the background!)

I of course got my button. 😊

After our second ride on Buzz, we decided to stroll through Fantasyland, just taking in the scenery and enjoying the atmosphere.

We were making our way to Frontierland, it was still a bit early so it wasn’t open yet, so we took our time.

We hit Liberty Square just after 9, and since it was empty, stopped into Memento Mori where I picked up a HM shirt.

After shopping, we continued to Frontierland, taking pictures along the way.

This morning we had a LLMP for Tiana’s at 9:50, so I was a bit worried when it didn’t open with the park, but we still had time before our LL time.

As we were walking through Frontierland we saw Chip and Dale were meeting, so headed over to meet our favorite rodents!

We then headed over to Thunder, which was still a walk-on at that point. We requested the back row, and the CM happily obliged (and he looked EXACTLY like Cheyenne Jackson).

It was such a fun ride! By the time we got off Thunder it was about 9:30, and Tiana’s still was down.

So after Thunder we headed over to Pirates, which also was still a walk-on.

By the time we got off Pirates it was into our Tiana’s LL time, but it was still down, and our next LLMP wasn’t for another hour, so we decided to do something crazy. We left the park before 10am! Yes, less than an hour after official park opening, we were heading out.

Well, after stopping for a hot second near to hub to discuss our options and catching a bit of the castle show.

We also stopped for a quick picture in the hub before making our way to the exit.

Next up: A Minor Detour and All the Transportation

Day 3, Part 5: A Minor Detour and All the Transportation

We last left off heading out of the MK a bit before 10am.

On the way out we stopped for a quick picture in front of the park!

We decided to head over to the GF to do some shopping at Basin since my mom loves that store, and we didn’t have any LLMP for another hour and the lines were starting to get long so we didn’t want to do standby.

We lucked out and arrived at the boat dock just as a boat did!

Once at GF we headed up to Basin, which was surprisingly packed. Not sure why it was so crowded this morning.

Here I got some bath bombs and a body lotion, while mom got some soap.

It was a quick trip, and soon we were heading to the monorail to head back to the MK!

We arrived at the monorail platform just as one arrived, perfect timing again!

It was a quick ride over to the MK.

Once there, we scanned in again and started to make our way back to our next LLMP, HM! (Tiana’s still hadn’t opened for the day…it was around 11am at that point).

As we were getting near, I saw the Liberty Bell was about to leave, so changed plans on the fly to hop on that instead of going to the HM! We had wanted to experience all the things that would be closing soon this trip, so we figured we should ride the Liberty Bell instead of HM at this point.

We found some seats on the lower level at the bow.

It was a nice relaxing ride, and gave some nice views.

Just as we were pulling into the dock, Tiana’s finally opened! So we decided to head that way to finally ride it.

There was hardly any wait in the LL, so soon we were on!

The ride was ok, the drop was still obviously fun, but the ride as a whole just wasn’t as fun as Splash. I feel like with Splash there was just so much to look at and discover each ride, whereas with Tiana’s there were just so many empty scenes, it was kind of boring, plus the story was kinda lacking.

I did like the shady armadillo though… :rotfl2:

After Tiana’s we were going to head to our HM LLMP, but my mom was really starting to feel the heat so we decided to head out. Seriously, the heat was no joke this trip. We’re used to going the end of September and the normal heat/humidity, but this trip the heat just seemed next level. Maybe because our trip was sandwiched in between two hurricanes? :confused3

On the way out we swung by the glass place where I picked up the AP glass I had wanted to get.

Once again we opted to take the monorail back, I loved that we were the first stop!

Oh, and little note on the LLMP. So we used it a few days this trip, and found for the most part it wasn’t worth it for us, even in the MK. I’m super surprised, I had thought I would prefer having the prebooked rides from the old FP+ days, but it turns out I actually liked the Genie+ set-up better (well except for the 7am booking).

I do think it depends on the time of year and the crowds and touring style, but for us we like to rope drop parks, and at that point there is no need for it. For instance, this morning we only used one of our pre-booked rides, Tiana’s. So that was an expensive ride! The other days we used it was similar where we only used it for maybe one or two prebooked rides and most days never even used it to book additional rides after the first was used. So yeah, don’t think we’d pay for it again. We will keep getting the LLSP though, especially to ride Guardians, and we may even try the LLPP at some point just to have more freedom of timing. Like if we had that this day, we wouldn’t have left the park by 10 since our next LLMP was so far out, we would have just kept riding rides with the premiere pass.

Next up: Mid Afternoon Break

Fun MK morning! You are the ultimate galactic hero!!! Tiana really had issues at the beginning. I think those have mostly been sorted out by now? Not sure. I didn't ride Splash often as I hate walking around wet so I can't really compare. I'll likely skip Tiana as well unless with people who really want to ride. I haven't been on the Liberty Belle in forever ... need to try to squeeze one more ride in before that area goes away.

I think Tiana's is still having issues, it was down a lot during our trip, and each time we had LLMP to ride it this trip, it was down and was down for hours. Hopefully they can figure it out soon!

Yeah, it had been years since we've been on the Liberty Bell. I'm glad we got on it again, now hopefully we can get over to TSI in January since we missed it in October!

Day 3, Part 6: Mid Afternoon Break!

We last left off taking the monorail back to the Contemporary for a midday break.

Once back, we ran to the room to drop our shopping bags off, then made our way back to the lounge to grab some lunchtime snacks.

The lunch snacks are really nothing to write home about, except of course those house made chips. This day they had truffle chips that were soooo good! I became a bit addicted to these chips this trip. ::yes::

After eating we decided we need to cool off in the pool, so went to get changed and headed down.

At first we wanted to go to the quiet pool, but there was like a sorority party happening there, so we headed to the main pool instead.

We found some lounge chairs to set our stuff down, and quickly headed into the pool.

It was so nice to cool off a bit. The pool there was ok, but doesn’t come close to our #1, Stormalong Bay.

We enjoyed some quality time in the pool before going to lay out a bit to dry off.

Finally we had enough of the sun so headed upstairs for a much needed nap!

I actually napped this day, which is wild for me, but the lack of sleep the previous few nights had me dragging and I desperately needed some sleep!

We slept for a good amount of time, not getting up until around 4, thankfully!

We got mostly ready for the evening and at 5 headed down to the lounge to grab some food and wine.

The food was really good this evening, they had a beef dish, a pork dish, shrimp, shrimp sushi, a veggie sushi, some chicken nuggets, and a bunch of other stuff. We also both got some wine, it was self pour which we loved. I think we may have both gotten cabs.

My favorite this evening was the pork, which was a surprise, I was certain it would be the beef!

My mom also got dessert, she went with a Mickey bar this afternoon!

After eating we headed back to the room to start getting ready, and a bit after 6 we headed out to MNSSHP!!!

Next up: MNSSHP Part 1: The Most Awesome Epic Costume That Might Make Me Pass Out

What a fun trip! I didn't know about the silhouette artist. I will check that out next time I'm in Magic Kingdom.

It was such a fun trip! Those silhouette artists are so good, I'm so happy we finally stopped to get one done, definitely recommend!
