How long for purchased Rapid Rewards points to post

OK, so I know it is definitely not the best use of money, but we purchased 18,000 rapid reward points because if you buy them in bulk you get a discount so it was cheaper to buy a bunch versus buying what we needed to top off for a reservation. DH bought them about an hour ago and they still haven’t shown. I see where it can take several days to post. Has anybody had that experience? There are only two flights left at the price point that we are looking at.

I've bought points several times and each time, the points were there within minutes. An hour is exceptionally long. If you haven't already tried, I would log out of the account completely and then log back in and see what happens.

I'm worried about this for the Thursday drop. I don't plan on buying points until I know how much I need. TexasErin, when did you end up getting your points?

I wanted to change a points reservation to a.N/S. I didn’t have enough points. I was given the option to purchase the needed points as part of check-out

I bought some a couple months ago, it was almost immediate.
