How Extensive are Grocery Offerings at Beach Club Market?

Hi Disfriends!

DH, DSs, and I are staying for the first time at Beach Club March 3-7 in a 2 bedroom villa. We normally do an Instacart grocery order for our stays, but since this is such a short stay I'm trying to avoid doing a grocery delivery. I am shipping a box of shelf stable food this week that will have breakfast stuff and snacks. I think we'll really only need milk, half and half, and beer for our villa. Would Beach Club Market have these things?

Thanks so much!

Yes.

We did this in October. We had a 2BDR - my dd, sil and almost 2 year old grandson. We tried ordering but it was ready after the hurricane so we figured we will run to Publix or Target when we got there. We did go to Target and all they had was milk - no produce or dairy products (shelves empty/could not get deliveries).

My DD drove down and had many non-perishable items. Since we did not need much, I went down to the shop. Bought yellow cheese, butter, eggs, yogurt, fresh fruit (bananas, apples/oranges come to mind), frozen waffles. They do have a nice selection/a little bit of everything. You will be fine unless you are picky with specific brands.

It looks like beer/wine/liquor are not on the pre-order sheet, but the resort store will definitely have it. It will not be cheap.

If we don't need much, I don't mind paying a few dollars/total more. No minimum, no fee and no tip.....for a family, long stay or big order, ordering is definitely a better choice :) I think all prices compared to home (ordering or shop) are high.

Yeah, the grocery prices are not all that out of line and the convenience definitely makes up for the few bucks. I even do the pre-order, and for $10 it's a nice little splurge.

The alcohol is a different story. I've been sober for a minute, so this could be wrong, but I remember it being marked up at least 2x.

Thanks everyone! This is great intel! We need just a few basics...milk, yogurt, half and half, and beer. I had no idea I could pre order. That's fantastic! And, I totally know that prices will be crazy. I figure it's worth it to buy a couple things from the resort's market.

Thanks so much for the info!

I like to have a few more options for snacks, breakfast and the occasional dinner, and find I prefer to place a grocery order via Target or Instacart (fyi Costco regularly has Instacart gift certificates at reasonable discounts). I believe the Boardwalk market may have more options, but I haven’t visited there.

They probably DO have the basics you are looking for if that is all you need!

@atthebeachclub thanks for the info. I usually do a grocery delivery, but since this is a quick trip I've decided to live dangerously and have my family live with what I shipped to the BC and with what I can scrounge at the BC market. Thanks for the reminder about the Boardwalk market too. If the BC is lacking, I can always head over to Boardwalk too.

Don't forget to pop over to the Yacht Club as well. It's not designed to cater to DVC, but they do have grab and go food over there.

If you don't mind a little walk the Speedway across from the BW has a good selection of beer at SIGNIFICANTLY lower prices than Disney. When we were there in October 2022 the price at the BC Marketplace for a six pack of Bud Light was $20 0r $24 if I remember correctly.
