Help! We have been given Multiple Experience Passes for use at DL. We have no idea how they work or how to use them. Any insight is appreciated. We've used Lightning Lane in the past, but we are uncertain if this is similar. Thanks!

it is the same thing. You go to the lightning lane entrance to the ride, and use it there.

Please note that the Multiple Experience Pass may also work with rides that don't have a lightning lane entrance (the pass should list what rides it works with). In that case, if you are not sure, ask a cast member where to go, but typically it's through the exit, but not always.

Just wanted to clarify as I know Disney has tweaked things a bit lately. Am I right in saying that once you get an MEP you can rebook another LL for the ride that was down that issued this MEP to you? Also if using your Magic band to scan into rides it will use the LL option over and above the MEP leaving that for you to use on something else. I know the accelerator glitch/perk has been removed but you can still leave your MEP sitting on your Magic Band to use later on for something else, is this correct?

Yes, when you get the MEP you are able to rebook the LL for the ride that went down (presuming there is still LL availability for that day).

I believe you're correct about the precedence that LL takes over MEP if you're scanning into a ride where you have a LL booked, but the last couple of times I've received an MEP, I've gone to use it on something that I didn't already have a LL booked for, so I can't say with 100% certainty.

Thanks for the reply.

Just make absolutely sure you are in the LL redemption window when you scan into the ride, if you also have a MEP. If you are outside the valid time window of the LL, even by a minute (not sure if they count the usual grace period of LL return times), it will instead use your MEP since it doesn’t show you have a valid LL for that ride at that time.

Do you actually have to book a return for a MEP? I thought you just went to the attraction with the MEP and scan in.

No, what they are referring to is you have to make sure you are inside the return time of your LL so that then the system won't use your MEP when you check in at the ride, it will definitely use the LL you are holding at the same time. If you are late to return for your LL the system will take the MEP and use that instead and you will lose the LL you had booked as it will have expired. Hope that makes sense. You can't in fact choose a time for the MEP it will just redeem on whatever ride you choose to use it for (within the ride tier it relates to) once you scan into the ride.

Okay. That makes sense.
